While Seeing slum outside of my district city. There are hundreds of people living in illegal 🛖 huts on government land, road side. Mostly they are not even belonging to my state. Let's first discuss about our slums outside city which is in our country. Where these people came? Does these people are from nearby villages or from another state or illegal foreigners from Myanmar or Bangladesh or Pakistan? What the work they are doing? Does politics giving them id card and voter card for vote?

They don’t need help LOL they are very rich people. They keep the hut to claim that very expansive land so they will get millions dollars! They don’t live there , just to visit to pretend they live.

Says who? Korean media do not shy away from ugly topics be it corruption, discrimination, bullying, poverty, gangs, etc... U watch Kpop videos you think that's all Koreans watch or talk about?

Poverty and slums exist in every country. It's only a matter of how bad. I'd worry about poverty in India than in countries like Korea as it's one of the highest in the world with a huge wealth gap.

Just google Guryang village on google and you’ll find many news articles including korean news articles calling it a slum. Am i to be blamed? Also what you wrote in your comment regarding redevelopment we said that in the video including all the facts that we gathered. Anyways it was a one fine place to be at. I can actually live there and that was the idea of the video. We showed how clean this place was and in return we’re getting racial abuses. Anyways thanks

No worries. Our intentions were good. Bit unfortunately people are only reading “slum” but not watching the video. There’s one more part of that video and in first part our focus was on cleanliness of this area and in 2nd part we try to show the people residing there. Korea is well developed but as like other countries korea also has Slum area 🗿

South Korea can freely broadcast bad things about politics and corruption in broadcasting or in the media. And the people have the right to freely denounce the president and corruption. So even if you criticize the president, you won't go to jail. And in Korean dramas and movies, you can freely create topics about the president and political corruption and broadcast them. In a dictatorship country, criticizing the dictator or the country can lead to imprisonment or execution. And Koreans don't feel bad or offended just because there are bad news about Korea from abroad. Rather, it is basically equipped with the mindset that we need to improve what needs to be fixed. Many Koreans do not overestimate Korea themselves, but rather say that there is something that needs to be improved. I don't know how other countries evaluate Korea, but I don't care how they view Korea. It doesn't offend Koreans so much because Korea shows the world bad things without hesitation. No country is perfect, as every country has slums and homelessness.

Yep,and lot's of debts in every household. I don't understand why koreans hate this kind of revelations. It's kinda true. Slums exist in every country wether that country is the wealthiest. It's a fact

How many Koreans did you talk to in order to come up with that conclusion? There are homeless people in Seoul and other big cities. No one in Korea is under illusion that everyone in Korea is rich. That seems to be coming mostly from foreigners who watch Kpop mvs.
