You can tell he's got the instincts, vision and handling skills of an elite offensive defenseman in the NHL. All he needs to do is become stronger, more explosive and improve his defensive game (which is already not bad)

*this is strictly MY opinion* kid obviously has some really high-end skill, impressive edge work and a creative, pond hockey mindset. he is a little bit of a riverboat gambler, (at 2:13 he takes himself out of the play on a 5 on 3 and it almost looks like a breakaway the other way) and I think he will need to rein that in at the next level, as well as bulking up for net front battles. got a lot of great tools though and a fun highlight reel, I wish the kid all the luck in the world.

This kid has a pretty unique way of faking his strides making it pretty unpredictable what way he's going and what he's doing with the puck. Crazy high ceiling on this guy.

Anyone that has had kids playing hockey can you even begin to imagine Hutson playing peewee lol he would have owned the puck . He has already grown an inch and the way his dad and brother got taller in college Lane will most likely end up 5’11” plenty big enough with the skills he has . The things he can do with the puck very few players have that , opposing players know he is going to head fake them etc and still bite on it and before anyone says he won’t be able to do that in the nhl that’s what they said about Caufield and look how those predictions worked out.
