Thank you for this interview, truly. Made me smile.

it's crazy to me how much he sounds exactly like Dame when you hear him speak...only Biggs is humble and speaks to everyone respectably. I guess thats why hes still has all his powerful ties while Dame is blackballed from the business
@geraldjordan64197 жыл бұрын
Dame is independent now he can move how he wants now
@retch23tg7 жыл бұрын
+Gerald Jordan yeah I know and so is Biggs realistically. he can be independent all he wants, he isnt getting the checks that he used to. and im not dickeatin weighing that mans pockets, that doesnt mean have nothing to do with me anyway and I always liked Dame. im just simply stating facts, he was definitely cut out of the picture and then blackballed.

I think Jay got to the flow that really made him a star on "Gotta Reach The Top"!
@retch23tg7 жыл бұрын
I think when Jay got the flow that took him to the top, truly, he took it from a 16 year old from Philly. Jay was great before that but when he started using Young Chris' flow from the Dynasty/Blueprint til Black Album was his best run

This dude is a low key legend & I hope he finds success with his new ventures. I didn't quite understand his reason as to why he feels the music industry is more of a high risk space now than at any time before. Certainly artists don't sell records as much but they make up for it in other ways like shows, endorsements, appearances, product placement, etc. We all know labels are the management now via "360 deals" & they can't easily be fired even when they have clout (see: Ke$-ha vs Dr Luke's label). So if you have a music artist signed to your entity who scores a national hit song, even if they're just a one hit wonder, I think that translates into much more money now than it did back when records were actually selling, provided the paperwork is tight. Thanks for this upload, much respect to Biggs & his new movement.

27:52 Rosenberg thinks Big L bodied Hov on that Stretch & Bobbito freestyle. Rosenberg is like many of these basic fans out here. Too much goes over y'alls heads, man.

Also, Mike Jackson DID put out Moonwalker, which was more like Streets Is Watchin. It was a full movie that had like 12 full videos from different hits. But yeah, nobody else did that on a hip-hop level.

Jay went from splitting the pie 3 ways with Dame and Biggz. To getting the full pie!! Cut all the hood artist off (Beanz, State Property). Signed Rihanna and J. Cole....Took off into another atmosphere!! Smart man I might say.
