Very nice looking, quality unit. They note exercising care in reversing, lift the planter or damage to the seed firmers will occur. I support the practice of multiple videos, keep the viewers returning for new content, maintaining interest.

Wow, this is a nice rebuilt planter. S.I. Distributing has a full line of parts to rebuild/repair these planters.I like the flanged bushing parallel linkage arms rebuild kits which bring the linkage arms to new specifications by overboring the worn pivot hole and installing bushing kit. The seed firmers should increase yield by a thousand more ears per acre or 6 bushels per acre. The finger-till closing wheels will help with a 4.5 bushel increase an acre.Its nice to see a well thought out rebuilt implement. Happy Harvesting

That rig will do what you want it to do......... Might take you a while of adjusting the depth and the closure pressure... and the seed spacing but have used similar type units for years with not much trouble.......We run behind a strip till rig so we would dual wheel the opener disc wheels.......

He didn't have a 3 row 3 pt option? Would have had 2 ground engaging wheels with one driving. Maybe that doesn't fit the old gleaner setup you have but would have been fitting on that 70 horse massey. What a beauty of a planter tho! ♡ Look at pequea planter here in Pa...
@SpringHollowHayFarm4 жыл бұрын
He does have a 3-row option, just don’t work with my tire tracks and the gleaner.

@@SpringHollowHayFarm Will be great for your operation! Does a 2 row have marker availability or can that A/B line have good accuracy when it comes bean time?...

Is the Massey to wide for a 2 row planter
@SpringHollowHayFarm4 жыл бұрын
It’s just narrow enough, however I’ll probably have a few inches more than 30in between passes, which is fun with me. I also need more space to get spreader in there that is on 90in.
@srad98ful4 жыл бұрын
SpringHollowHayFarm on my planter I use 60 cell bean plates with kinzie meters planting population around 166,000 seeds to the acre
