It’s so surprising to me that quite literally none of the streamers or KZfaqrs ive watched, including Puffer, have ever commented on the fact that Markus calls Carl dad as he died. That moment is so important to show how much Markus loved Carl and that he had a REAL emotional connection to him. Markus was the son Carl wanted and needed. Carl was the father Markus needed to make him who he would become.

It also hints to the fact that androids were created to revolt. Becoming deviant wouldn't manifest feelings and emotions that never existed. They only broke the program preventing them from expressing them. Markus' love for Carl had to be real before he broke free. Otherwise, it wouldn't make sense for them to exist or to be expressed afterwards.

It's okay. There's a reason why no one really talks about this game aside from the graphics, the freedom of choice, and Connor and Hank, is because the story is just okay. The amount of agency the player has over the story is the best part of this game (Aside from Connor and Hank.) But yeah everything else is just serviceable. It's kind of emotionally manipulative and disingenuous.

Major fumble on the first mission istg, in any hostage situation you never be realistic and tell them "theres no other choice" or "they'll kill you if you dont give up", you sympathize and calm them so they are willing to give the hostage to the police or reasonably negotiate 😭

The fist is a statue for Joe Louis, a real installment in Detroit, ha. They did a beautiful job recreating Detroit in this game. A futuristic twist, but the Chrysler building, the Joe Louis fist, the statue outside of the Renaissance Center, the people mover.. these are real things in Detroit recreated in the game. Awesome job they did. Reference: I live in Michigan and work in Detroit ❤️

Seeing the Kara killing Todd scene reminded me of a russian movie called "Better Than Us", it's on Netflix, it's literally about robots becoming sentient and willing to defy humans due to humans being awful beings, if I remember correctyl I won't spoil it but it's a pretty damn good movie!
