Karunya Sabapathy it's not mind boggling. they're just putting out what sells. I love tinashe but my first introduction t her was 2on... when I listen to her mixtapes like black water and Reverie... there's so much more depth...so don't judge a book by it's cover. :)

But it's not like this is the only route to gain attention. I wish artists would resort to putting out quality content rather than catchy beats to "sell." Remember when Nas called out J Cole for putting out catchy, but lyrically disappointing Work Out? Rappers need to give their audiences more credit. For sure if Big Sean came out with Dark Sky Paradise first, he'd have a much greater reputation and be taken more seriously.

+Alessandro Torres yeah Nas was disappointed because he saw Cole's potential and felt Work Out didn't live up to it. Probably because it was too poppy. Listening to "False Prophets" and then "Work Out' they're leagues apart, it's clear there's been development but I don't think "Work Out" was ever Cole's style. I'm sure Nas and Cole have a tricky relationship because Cole was first signed by Jay and that may have something to do with it, but Nas was/is one of Cole's idols which is why he made "Let Nas Down" when he found out Nas didn't like "Work Out" then Nas responded with his own remix, "Made Nas Proud."
