Wayne's multi syllabic rhymes again almost carry throughout his entire verse!! I swear no other rapper does this while incorporating puns, cultural references, metaphors, similes, and other literary devices. What makes it more impressive is that he doesn't write his lyrics down on paper. Incredible shit! I've been having conversations with the constellations/14 We keep this shit between us, just like a doctor-patient/14 The heaviest intoxication make the problems weightless/15 I'ma need some sanitation for the time that's wasted/14 Told my shrink that life is crazy, he said, "Life is crazy"/14 I bought a house so fucking big it feel like I'm my neighbors/15 I told my weed man, "I need nature," he accommodate me/15 I got two choppers look alike, I call 'em crock and gator/15 The flowers looking quite amazing, I ain't like the fragrance/15 I stand beside a baby, see who you decide to play with/15 I'ma take my fucking chances, I'm a lucky bastard/14 My heart race 'til it catch up to who it's running after/14 Oh my gosh, I'm gone, I'm on a planet I'm not knowin'/14 Said, "Let there be light," but then all my lights were blown/12 Yeah, I know my rights, I mean I know right from wrong/12 I know yayo white and sweeter than a yellow bone/13 I know love is life and I know life is never long/13 I made plans to get away and in the morning, I'll be gone/15 Man, I mind-fuck, no foreplay, brainwash, my thoughts fade/12 Brainstorm, I storm chase, guilty conscience no court date/12
@terrancecooper85753 жыл бұрын
What do the numbers mean?
@drewashington3 жыл бұрын
@@terrancecooper8575 the numbers are counting the multi syllable rhymes in his lines. So for example if i rhyme "waving hands" (3) with "shaken glance" (3) Both lines have two words that have 3 syllables within them. In Wayne's case he matches up 11, 12, 13, and 15 consecutive lines consistently in this verse; which most likely are the longest multi syllable rhymes in rap. Hope this made sense
@terrancecooper85753 жыл бұрын
Dre Washington man that’s deep, and skilled. What made you look at rap or music in that perspective?
@drewashington3 жыл бұрын
@@terrancecooper8575 thank you my brother and it came from reading Edgar Allen Poe. In the poetry portion of his collection I noticed when reading outloud it sounded extremely fluent. The lines seemed to end perfectly with the line before it. So, I counted the syllables and Poe would match 10,11, and 12 consistently which I thought unique. Then listening to Wayne that same pattern I found reading Poe occurred but lengthier
