We all just wanted to be like Mike, even it just meant we looked silly as we tried and failed to imitate his moves on the playground. And Jordan played his role to perfection, inspiring a generation of youngsters. But nowadays everything is so morose, negative, politicized. Jordan, that song, this commercial represent that boundless joy and enthusiasm for the game we're missing today. The sky was the limit, and Jordan and ONLY Jordan could take us there. LeBron is a great basketball player but can you imagine him inspiring a generation worldwide like this? Not in a million years.

matt bunjevac exactly. thank you for saying it like it is. he wasn't in his prime in 1995 against the magic
@KiddAlways9 жыл бұрын
Chris Page i never said his prime was after he shitted on the magic. he was past his prime when he won his 4th, 5th, and 6th championship you stupid cave idiot. you really need to learn to read. he still won but wasn't the dunker he once was. killed people with jumpshots. you stupid assclown. that's what was so amazing that after his prime he did all that, win another 3 championships, set all sorts of records.

Couldn't agree more. The most RUTHLESS player in team sports history.
@gatormark9 жыл бұрын
Chris Page, that was NOT prime Mike. That was out of basketball shape, post baseball Mike. You saw prime Mike the following year.

One of the favorite things from my childhood right here. This commercial...I don't have the words to describe it, but it gives me a warm nostalgic feeling inside and leaves a little mist in my eyes.

It's 2021. So many debates on who's the greatest. I'm 44 now, I was there, watching Mike. I've watched them all....1984 to current. Kobe and LeBron were great, but they never were "Like Mike"

@ThePsp1237898 жыл бұрын
+Alvaro Ryuuzaki Lmao are you fucking serious? Jordan's not a god compared to Lebron.
@corn19718 жыл бұрын
+A basketball Lebron is good, one of the best, but he's a pale shadow of what Jordan was. Back in the day in a close game at the end it was almost money in the bank Jordan was going to make that final shot to win the game. It was more rare for him to miss that basket if he took the shot. He'd shoot free throws with his eyes closed and make them. He'd make baskets without even looking at the hoop as he put the ball up. Watching him play was on a whole other level. Lebron's greatness is that he can play ever position on the court, but he did not dominate a game like Jordan did for his entire Chicago career. A lot of great players don't have rings because they played during the Jordan era.

Yup, I'm watching it in 2016! I can still remember this when it first came on tv when I was in middle school. Looking back, the 15 and 16 second of this clip is so inappropriate. What was Jordan's PR people thinking back in the day?

They weren't thinking anything. America wasn't so PC back in 1991 that something as innocent as this would offend anyone and everyone
