Haha..., I work with rugs and one of my buddies and I used to talk about that. Not only Bidjar but saddlebags, other Kurdish rugs most old Baluch.... I wish I knew how Bidjar does their depress warp. I also want to know how the Kurdish weave and knot Jaf Kurds. I know the gist of it but they do tricks with knots to make that diamond motif. So simple but no not so simple.

Good point, but when it comes to Hand Woven Carpets if you are in Modern Day Iran than it is considered a Persian Rug. If you are outside it isn't. In some ways its stupid but in the states the do similar things with where wine comes from. It is what it is.
