Sehr gelungene Zweischichtlackierung. Ich verzweifle gerade etwas mit meiner eigenen, ich dachte ich nehme mal Sprühdosen, statt der Lackierpistole um mir die Reinigungsorgien zu ersparen. War keine gute Idee, denn die 400 ml haben mir nicht gereicht, im einen gleichmäßigen Farbfilm hin zu bekommen. Zudem habe ich festellen dürfen, dass eine Punktstrahldüse (für das 40 jahre alte Columbus Aelle Stahlgeröhr) wesentlich besser gewesen wäre, als die Breitstahldüse (ist sicher super für Motorhauben), die mitgeliefert wurde, denn: von dem Rostschutzprimer mt eben solcher Bedüsung hatte ich noch übrig 🙄 So werde ich wenigstens zum Schleifprofi 😒 Macht aber nix, ich muss damit ja nicht mein Geld verdienen, ich kann mir soviel Zeit und Fehlschläge leisten, bis ich mit dem Ergebnis zufrieden bin. Ich mag' Deine Videos sehr, vielleicht bewertest Du ja dann mal mein Video, wenn ich dazu komme das fertige Rennerchen der Öffentlichkeit zu präsentieren...

Hi Martin, good work - looks great. A question: you sanded the basecoat and didn't spray another layer of base. Don't the sanding changes the colour especially if it's a metallic colour like that one?

Hi Martin, Love watching your videos and learning. I noticed something in this video that I usually never see you do. You air brushed the logo in white. Would it not have been easier to put the logo stickers on the white primer coat, and then paint the color over the the stickers and the primer?

When I used masks to paint patterns with water-soluble (isopropyl alcohol) acrylics, I often got leaks. I used Paasche VJR and TG airbrushes with pressures between 14 and 25 psi, I think you apply the paint to the masks the same thickness as I did. Do you use quick-drying paints, do you use low paint flow, or low pressure? Maybe there are there other factors contributing to the lack of leakage in your work?

Martin is the glue on commercial stickers to strong , the last time I used them some of the paint underneath came off when removing them ( should I I used a hair drier to loosen the glue . I don’t know where to get decals like you use . I love your channel 😊😊😊

Crazy to see these imperfections in such an expensive bike... I had a Spark 910 which was raw HMF carbon, and didn't see these imperfections on my frame, so I guess they may use different methods for the raw carbon frames, vs painted frames. Imagine the disappointment if you go through the hassle of media blasting such an expensive carbon frame, wanting to go for a raw carbon look, then you find this mess under the paint.

Hi, Martin. What is the pressure on the spray gun LPH-80 1.0 when you paint a clear coat finish? . When I paint I sometimes get "orange peel" in hard to reach places (( .I used - Clear coat UPOL 2081 2:1 + 10-20% thinner, spraygun LPH-50 1.0 (I tune 1-1,3 bar ). To avoid "orange peel" I have to bring the 5-10 cm spray gun too close, but working this way I can get snot (( What do you recommend to avoid this ? Thank you)

I don't care much about pressure. At the pressure gauge it's approx. 4-6 bar. At the gun 6 meter away maybe 2-3 bar. After 20+ years of spraying I just listen to the gun and if it sounds weird I tune it in with the cheater valve.

Depends on what I like to do. 0 percent, 5-10 percent, 20 percent, 30 percent.

Hey Martin! I've been wondering about the legality of using trademarked logos on you paint jobs. It seems obvious that putting a Scott logo on a Scott frame is much less likely to get you in trouble than making and selling decals with their logo. But could they still sue you if they wanted to? Would this be legal for strictly personal use or is it all the same? I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences. By the way, I'm as impressed by this particular paint job as I'm put off by the quality of the carbon frame.

My personal opinion is: who puts tons of brand logos on a bike instead of an extraordinary design has no taste at all and should be sued for bad taste.

the bare frame show us another big bike brand buying cheap chinese carbon frame to make expensive bike? your paint job must tripple the original price of the frame.
