SCOR, a brand born out of frustration by mountain biking enthusiasts at Swiss brand BMC, launched its first-ever mountain bikes in late 2021. Leveraging BMC's access to world-class manufacturing facilities and skills, the SCOR 4060ST GX boasts a full carbon frame with a lower link-driven instant center suspension platform, 29-inch wheels, 140mm rear wheel travel, and flip chip for geometry modifications.
In this bike review, we've been testing the 4060ST, which has proven to be incredibly well-balanced with superior performance on rough chatter. It's also an efficient climber with good pedaling characteristics. It's very quiet, highly adjustable, versatile, and comes with a spare UDH hanger included in the frame storage compartment. Some rear-end flex leads to brake rub under pedaling loads and the frame is prone to collecting dirt with a few hard-to-clean areas. Additionally, the short dropper post spec and incompatibility with some rear shocks may be a concern for riders who want to customize.
Overall, the SCOR 4060ST GX is a highly capable mountain bike with a range of impressive features and performance capabilities. With a 3-year frame warranty and an MSRP of $7199 USD, it's definitely worth considering for serious mountain biking enthusiasts looking at a top-of-the-line option.
