Its a Guzzi, you can't compare Guzzis to anything else, you either get it or you don't. All the other brands in that category are more or less the same apart from your personal choices and the manufacturers compete with eachother to provide what they think the potential purchaser is looking for ...Moto Guzzi just sell Guzzis and its their take of this category of bike.

I can only recommend this bike to any tourer, so easy to ride, power is sufficiant and gas capacity is just good for shy 400 kms. I love it!

I owned a Multi V2S for a year. Over half my riding is in city traffic. I live in Dallas Texas. The heat in the summer was brutal off the rear cylinder on the V2S. I traded it for a Moto Guzzi V7 Special. The Guzzi does not roast your butt in the summer time. So, I am anxiously waiting to test the new Stelvio. The one thing I wish the Stelvio had is the semi active suspension. That is one thing I loved about the Ducati V2S. I would trade the radar for the semi active suspension any day.

It looks very good and has a shaft drive that does not need replaceing....😎

Seriously harsh comment about the previous Stelvio which was a quality, if heavy, bike.

I have the Mandello V100, I love it. There is just the position that is slightly to much bent to the front, so I can’t wait to test the Stelvio ! I see it as a Mandello but with the right rider’s position for me.

Looking forward to the in-depth magazine review, and at some point a test on UK roads.

A fab review. You summed it up nicely. I cant wait to get a test ride on the Stelvio. I have both a 950 Multistrada and A Guzzi Breva 1100, so this might replace both.

How would you compare it to Africa Twin the base model (although AT has 21" wheels) ? I believe it is equally polished, but how about engine wise, handling wise etc?

My ride at low speed town traffic I found the engine rock made it feel like it was falling in on corners more than a boxter a couple of times it caught me almost out I never had this issue with any other, in winter I feel you may come a cropper if not careful

I insist on a shaft drive bike for occasional off pavement riding, below 20k in price. Is there a better choice?

It's a Moto Guzzi, it has soul.

In today’s world bikes have quality suspensions that are controlled and dynamic. It comes from the need to be able to adjust to different conditions because it is demanded by the ride and rider. Especially with an adventure bike. While BMW, Honda, Triumph, Ducati lead the way moving forward and we have had dynamic suspension or semi-active suspensions since 2005. Moto Guzzi continues to come up short in their designs for a modern competitive open class motorcycle. Why spend the effort of designing a modern engine and stick it on a good frame and chassis but fail to provide a better than minimal grade suspension? It just doesn’t make any sense.

They failed when they built an Adventure Bike with a smaller fuel tank than the V85TT, which gets better fuel economy.

Comparing a Moto Guzzi to a honda is a joke. You have ne clue! The quality with fit and finish plus style of a MG is light years above any japanese bike.

Not as polished as a Africa Twin. You have never owned a Guzzi. You should stay away from Moto Guzzi. And all its GUZZINESS.

The bike's major flaw?........... simple, it's Italian.
