Nice scenery, shame about the gates. I usually hoist the bike up onto the back wheel and kind of walk it through those, if you get what I mean. But not so easy with a loaded bike. Possibly designed by a non cyclist? Who knows?

Are you sure all of those paths are open to cyclists? I live and cycle in the UK, so I am more than open to the idea that they're simply designed by idiots, but some of the problems you encountered look to me like they're footpaths, which normally aren't open to cyclists and, hence, the annoying barriers.

Hi and yes, I'm quite sure these were open for cyclists, that's why I was so surprised. Well, it makes for a good talking point at least :-)

@nickk1658 true,though I just noticed a pedestrian sign at one of the gates,so maybe I was in the wrong at one of them.oh well😄
