Lost in Normandy, Northern France. We ride though Mauberge and on into the night stopping just before midnight beside a canal when it gets too dark to keep going. After fixing a puncture the adventure continues. We go camping, try local beer & make our way along the Robert Louis Stevenson cycle trail to Guise and visit a medieval fair at at real castle!

You don't have to spend hundreds to get a folding bike that you can use for an international cycle tour. Second hand folding bikes can be excellent value if you are prepared to do any repairs yourself! Small repairs and replacing any worn out parts can be done with simple tools and these light weight bikes can be stored easily in a cupboard or under a bed.

I’ve watched a bunch of bicycle touring channels and I’ve left them all! Your channel is the only one I’ve stayed subscribed too and always look forward to watching. Your channel is honest and real. No ridiculously expensive bikes and gear. I appreciate that as I’ve ridden bicycles my whole life and have always bought well used bikes or pieced together bikes with little money. Thanks for the great videos.

Thanks so much for the comment, really appreciated as it takes some considerable effort to bring these trips onto video and it’s difficult to know if the stories are well told. My plan has always been to show what we do as rap as possible, no bs, not tech/ gear focussed, just make this information accessible for as many ppl as possible. Nice journey, you can motivate lots of people to leave even with a low budget gear. You choose really challenging trails for the frames and the wheels of your folding bikes, charging them (that you restored after an exposition to salty marine weather, and are alloy frame) with no less than 80 - 90 Kg, I suppose . Which are the conditions of your folding bikes at the end of this long european tour ?

Thanks! Yes the bikes take a beating and hold up well, the hope is that they will last long after this tour. I will review the bike condition on completing the trip!
