That's the exact bike I had in the 90's . Dad bought it, and used to drop me off at construction sites to teach myself how to ride.

My friend had one of these when we were kids. I had Honda XRs 50 then 80 then 100 then 200 lol. Billy had a BW 80. Needless to say he was always in front or at least his bike was in the front when we made new trails. BWs are the absolute best at making new trails. God I'm so blessed to have grown up where I did

The fact that the foot pegs on the 80 held all of Craig's weight (not a fat joke) on the jump landing is impressive. Being that it was designed for a child.

Back at the end of the 80's, a buddy of mine use to have 2 of the bigger BW's. We would ride them through the desert in Northern Nevada. In the sand, those things were better than anything else. So much fun.

Being born in the early 70's we dreamed of having those fat tire bikes in the 80's!!!! Kids today don't know what their missing!!!!!Very cool!!!😎

I had a BW 80 when I was a kid. Looking back it wasn't the best performing bike at all but it sure was fun to ride.

Doesn’t matter how old or big you are riding any small cc bike is always fun. My kids Yamaha pw80 is always a blast to ride even though my knees are way above the handlebars I’m still ripping thru it

Bro I haven’t seen or heard that since 1996/97 . My friend had one and I’ll never forget how much fun it was 3spd without a clutch we would ride that thing all day every weekend. He had the best dad ever. His grammas house was at the pond with trails all in the woods, we had so much fun . Now it’s all town houses and no where to park , no trees or trails. Best summer ever I was in 7th grade . Awesome vid brought back great memories.

Dang this brings back memories! My first motorcycle when I was a kid back in the 90’s was a BW80. I learned how to ride, clean carbs, change the oil, and everything on this bike. I still have a burn scar on my right calf from the exhaust landing on my leg in a crash. Hopefully I can find one to fix up for any future kids that I may have.

Love the BW80!! I had the same exact bike and color as my first dirtbike at 4yrs old. Thing was a hill climbing beast!

Super cool video, I had a bw80 as my first bike in the 90’s I had a ball and learned to ride. Sadly enough I tipped it over it never ran right again after, it sat for awhile and being young and growing up without a father I ended up selling it at my mothers yard sale for a 100 bucks. Worst 100 bucks I’ve ever received almost sickened looking back, but that’s what gave me interest in turning wrenches today. Congrats on your finds, I can’t find any here in NC.

I had a 97 s10 and the starter went out and I didn’t have the money to buy a new one, I went to a shop that were ran by mennonites and they fully Refabricated my starter as if it was brand new and I did they same with my 97 Buick skylark’s ac compressor they refurbished it. Amazing people.

Had my bw200 since new, wife loves it and keeps up with us on trail rides and river sand dunes

I had a 1973 Yamaha DT360. The oil line came off the pump and I noticed the bike slow down loose power. I shut it off. Found injection oil al over the engine. The clip that held the hose from pump came off. Pushed it back on . The bike was ok it did score the barrel and piston and year later I rebuilt it. I loved that bike .

Yamaha two-stroke street and non-competition bikes have an injector pump under the cover on the right side of the engine. It is driven off the primary gear on the crankshaft. It is a small reciprocating pump, and the stroke varies depending on throttle position. The throttle cable is connected to two cables........one going to the carburetor, the other to the injector pump. The stroke of the pump is adjusted by adjusting the outer housing of the cable. (There is a brass bleeder screw on the side of the pump to rid it of air, in engine-repair situations.) A 3/8" rubber tubing from the two-stroke-oil tank supplies the pump with oil. A smaller tube returns from the pump and goes to the cylinder inlet (via a banjo bolt) just where the carburetor is attached. Yamaha used to call it "Autolube oil injection". Competition bikes used two-stroke oil pre-mixed in the fuel, just like outboard engines. Trinidad & Tobago. West Indies.

I would think you could tell the oil mixing doesn't work based on the smell of the exhaust. But then it might be too late for the engine. I've only ridden a 2 cycle bike that needed premix. The smell takes me back to my teen years.

I was a kid of the 80's remember the Yamaha big wheel bikes very well even owned a Yamaha BW 200 never knew they made a two-stroke 80 version mine is totally blown being that I love 2 strokes would of much rather had a two-stroke version than the four-stroke version by far!

I love that 80cc 2 stroke you should hunt down a Suzuki van van 125cc the rv125 two stroke keep posting the awesome videos and bringing back those old bikes back to life.

I remember about 20 yrs ago Tractor Supply sold one I think it had a pull rope start I liked the kick start better. I've been fixing pull rope on lawn mowers to power washers every since I was 11. My dad would just tell me you know where the tools are and put em back the way in you found em. He was a aircraft mech. from WW2.

I only ever had 2 strokes in lawn care equipment but they’re awesome in their own way. The lightness to power of them is probably what some of the motor cyclists like…also it’s nice to just pour in the premix and go don’t have to check the oil, check the gas, then go.

In the 80's i had a crome honda 50, but my best friend's little brother had one of these. I was always talking him into letting me ride it, cuz i was bigger then him and my 50 fit him much better anyway. My buddy had a 125 that was way to big for us(eventually i was able to ride it tho). For like 3 years we had more fun with that big wheel every time we rode. I bet we put 20.000 miles on that thing.and it never broke. Hell from the look of it this could be the very one? Thanks for bringing back some great memories.

Ok so this was a emotional video for me that's the same bike and graphics I grew up and learned how to ride on (in PA) in the late 90s my uncle rebuilt it because it was blown up ohman but I literally took it everywhere I also broke my first bone on it just you getting that bike fired up brought back so many memorys i would love to find a deal like that for my son to learn on this is a great find i hope its special to you thanks is for the video bringing back the memories!!

Have you adjusted the valves on the bw200? Also I’d consider just ditching the old carb on there and putting it in a box to save. Use an eBay knock off. They aren’t great for modern race bikes but work really well with this kind of stuff. Maybe even get a nibbi carb

I have a stock bw350 and a bw80 that has been modified to run a built predator 212 with a torque converter. Both are so much fun.

I am glad I bought my BW200 last spring 😆 just a couple more carb adjustments and a bit of wiring and I will have myself a street legal Big Wheel.

Had a honda QA 50 in 1970. In the the 80s they brought back the fat tire mini bikes. Wish I had one they were way more fun to ride. I was made at my mom for throwing my 50 away when i went into the service . Cant even imagine what it is worth today

My Dad has the BW 350. I know he is not looking at parting with it. They are hard to find parts for, though. He struggled to find the boot between the carb and engine for a while.
