What getting more clear to me is that the original builder of this bike was clearly a gear head. Harley engines are crapola. Maybe these old engines and bikes are cool for the time, but it’s down right amazing how Harley continued with their piss poor design for so long. I mean present day Harley riders are literally upset at Harley for finally upgrading their tech to the modern day simply because “it doesn’t sound like a Harley anymore” jeeeeeezus.

What an amazing experience that must be having Dale's son Matt tear into your motor and explain what it is, what it isn't, and what things could be. Saying Matt knows his stuff is an understatement. How great is it when you can walk in with a motor, watch as the mechanic tears it down (right in front of you) and get a running commentary on the tear down. All in the span of one day. Priceless. If I take my bike to the shop, I treat it like it's a little kid being left at school for the first time. There's tearful goodbyes, lingering embraces and solemn promises that we'll be back together as soon as possible. And then the dreaded wait.... Anywho, interesting series, I'll be watching this one very closely.

I really want to get it running but it's hard to know, where to start, what's salvageable, what's valuable, what's original, etc. There aren't many experts around to help. I really enjoyed What's in the Barn, and this is a great continuation. It's cool to see Matt become the man, out of the shadow of his dad. Many of us have had dads who got deference because of their strong personality, experience and knowledge, and they started the business, so they ran the show. As time wears them down, they become more agreeable and patient, and the torch slowly gets passed. The best we can do is give our kids all the tools they need to thrive when we're gone. And Dale has certainly done that.

You guys are 'old school' bikers and I'm loving it! Back in the day everyone worked on their own machines and HAD to or they'd not stay rideable. When Honda was trying to expand the market in the '60's they introduced bikes to 'consumers' who bought, rode but couldn't work on them...much as we have today. Anyone at the mercy of a dealership mechanic isn't 'getting' what it meant to be a biker. I know people who love to ride but can't fix their own bikes...and I'm always encouraging them rather than taking the bike to another mechanic....invest in the tools and DIY! This Harley you have is a different animal and good on you for finding someone who knows the minutia and history to give you a hand. Harley's are their own breed of cat and there's lots of specialized knowledge that you need to have to do a good job on them. Will be interesting to see where you go with this build!

Brought back a great memory watching you walk up to those doors. As long as you have WTT on your side, your bike will be top notch.

Welp, I woke up this morning and I didn’t think about motorcycles, stumbled upon this amazing channel and I’m about to go look at a cafe racer this weekend. It’s somewhere in backwoods Missouri so wish me luck. Honestly, I’ve never ridden a motorcycle but good lord I want to after watching this all day. God bless brothers!!

I have been to the Museum and it was awesome. This guy knows this stuff and he learned it from his Dad. It is worth your time to go there and see what they have done.

Dude. you guys are killin it with this latest episode. I normally don't watch a lot of your content but I watched this episode twice.. Cant wait to hear it run after the rebuild. I'm sure the bike will turn out to be fantastic no matter what you do as long as that engine still looks pretty!

I was so looking forward to going to wheels through time when we went on vacation and I didn’t even look at what days they were open and we went through the area when they were closed. So beautiful, can’t wait to go back.
