Who are Kara and Nate?!
Watch our documentary here: • 100th COUNTRY DOCUMENTARY
Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment.
We discovered the world of “travel hacking” while planning our honeymoon & became addicted ;)
So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world.
Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went back home to “normal life.” We started this channel to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with living on the road and found a new passion for capturing our travels through video. So we did everything we could to keep going.
4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to ;) Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time!
After ~2 years of van life, we are back to full time international traveling! And now we are finding the best adventures the world has to offer :)
We are incredibly grateful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. 😊🎥🌎 Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey!

I cannot believe how emotionally mature the 2 kiddos are. The bag of snickers and then the “that’s really nice to do this for my daddy” alone. They’re being raised to be sweet, caring, mischievous, and confident badasses and I’m here for it.

Nate's pep talk about just starting and showing up, followed immediately by a nap is just so honest. With the right mindset, good support, some food and a little sleep I truly believe you can accomplish anything! The countdown was more emotional than expected, you all had me tearing up :) This was my favorite challenge video series you have done. I am so proud of you all, and you didn't die!!! Thank you for you sharing the adventure with us!

Rick is the friend everyone needs. So gracious of him to take the e-bike back and let Nate & Dusty ride with their Dad. You guys have really shown us non-Americans just how amazing the US is. I'm just back from my first trip over there (NYC) in my 55 years and now I'm planning my next one. Somewhere warm I think. NYC and Niagara were really cold last week but I had an absolutely fantastic time. As a cyclist myself, I hope you will allow me to recommend a puncture mitigation product called Panaracer Flataway. Rather than go with the complication of slime tubes or liquids inside tubeless tyres, this works pretty much like your dollar bill fix but way more effectively.

The PEOPLE, as Kara said, are the BESTEST and make watching this journey so fun, inspiring and hilarious! Hands down, the best crew of people you could be with. Your commitment, honesty, humor and sense of adventure are infectious! Even though most of us will never ride across America, you've inspired us to challenge ourselves in our own lives. Everyone's attitude was AWESOME! You had your moments and yet the energy and love for this adventure and each other kept you moving forward. I was so emotional at the end-I cannot begin to imagine how you all felt! And I LOVE the way you did the last segment, mile by mile, inserting everyone's comments/thoughts as you rode toward the end. This series was one of my favourites you have ever done. It was emotional, funny, empowering, authentic, and so much more. (I hope you didn't really throw the bike in the ocean...)

My fav serious too UNTIAL the big lie! You did not finish in the Atlantic Atlantic Atlantic Atlantic ocean you did not finish in the Atlantic ocean. Can you put those bikes in the Severn River not the same thing from all the height that it had a many of Maryland or was disappointed to see that you didnt complete your so well publicized task. It could have been epic biking over the bay bridge then into ocean city , but no you pulled into some lame parking lot near some boats a dunked the bike.

dude. it's chesapeake bay, which IS the atlantic ocean. what's the difference if it's open ocean or bay, it's the same body of water @@user-ki3wh1ml2e

This was one of my favorite series that you guys have done! When the mileage countdown started, I felt a little sad that this adventure was coming to an end. I smiled and laughed so much through this entire series. And when things got tough, it was so inspiring to see how you all pushed through and supported one another along the way. You all seriously bring so much joy to this space! Thank you for taking us along for the ride!
