Arunachal is far far better than Meghalaya. People are simple there. We can develop West Karbi Anglong district and Dima Hasao district as an alternative to Meghalaya.

I don't think this jeep driver had paid you for the damage. If you have hit their car then they would have charged and fined you even for a small scratch. Bohot harami hoi kukur kita. Such similar incidents happened to me also. Their policemen support their own people even if they are wrong. I have stopped visiting shillong, cherrapunji etc. since last 2 years and I will never visit their as a tourist.

It seems maximum hills tribal people of Meghalaya, AP etc.think Assamese people usually deceive them which is actually wrong and the outsiders of Northeast are well settled there. You will find they hardly greet you in spite of you greeting them during X-mass etc .(personal experience) .Most of them do not like Assamese people (people from plains).
