Gates: Buffett is 'unique leader'
Bill Gates says Warren Buffett is his best friend. The two share a fascination with business - and playing bridge. They also happen to be two of the richest people in the world.
Buffett does not share Gates' fascination with computers, but learnt to use one just to be able to play bridge online. According to Gates, Buffett is now quite adept at web-browsing.
Three years ago, Buffett announced he was giving the bulk of his fortune - currently estimated at $40 billion - to charity, with most of it going to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation

But no thats just one part of investing. getting the information on a business is a small part, there are tons of other factors. such as the economic and political landscape. which often takes alot of diligent deduction

Well first, you have to realise he is not purely rich by sheer investing. he has a business, and the stock price is quite high. his stake in the company is why he is such a billionaire. and yes buffet gives out very traditional investing advice. You also need to realise that like you said, they are tons of brainy investors out there who know what there doing. for example, james simons, look him up. He's a billionaire, i find his style to be more interesting, even though no one knows his method

After seeing the global economic crisis which happens every few decades, I realized that capitalism is not always nice and practicable, especially the stock market, we should close it in my view. Do mutual funds etc good funds one by one by private or public banks will be better , for privacy and not monopoly by just a few.

I Can not imagine how fast Mr. Bill Gates growing gray haired. Maybe working too hard , also have 3 kids and managing company , and do charity works? Like Buddhism said, thinking really will cost of a lot of our energy. About their charity, I really think is good, but no need to support them real products, just teaching them well with good useful knowledge. Such as moral and agriculture. Etc. is enough, even better than give them real products.

Please tell me how you'll just keep driving your A3 when you make your first billion. This guy pledges to give 99% of his wealth to charity. He doesn't have to, yet he does. Check out the Bill & Melinda Gates foundation, look for "the giving pledge" as well. Then come back and talk smack about BG.

Now, I don't know you (I think), but it sounds like you have some problems with self confidence. No one has ever reached success by believing they couldn't do it. You could be as rich an charitable as them. You only help your chances by believing in yourself. In point of fact, you don't know that you can't be like them, yet, because you haven't truly tried. Once your dead, then you know you can't; until then, it's up to you to make your own fate.

Im a Bernie supporter, that surely doesnt make me against Gates and Buffet. They are good people playing the game well. Its just that the rules of the game need to be adjusted so that it doesnt screw with democracy and doesnt leave billions of people in the world starving. I think bill and warren both agree on that actually.

Investing is not simple, not even close. it is one of the most complex sciences on earth. you don't know what the fuck you're talking about..It takes a mass amount of skill, you have to know how to assess risk, diversify and keep discipline strong. All extremely complicated tasks

If China also want charge 20% over interest rate like here, who then Dare to borrow , which means Sorrow?? :) I still have no idea how to get out of this debt sea as soon as I can. No clue, and not too much money to spend whatever I like to do or wear though? --While at home, I can do this, but, also with fix income though and many competitions around which make me unhappy. Enviroment is over croward and not very pretty too,particularly the work and life schedule disliked. Become slave of money.

No one is born stupid Nulldrone, people are raised that way. Education is the most valuable investment you can make and the greatest asset anyone can obtain, however schools dont teach the topics that matter e.g. economics, business ethics, entrepreneurship, fundamentals of wealth and what real wealth is. All you have to do is educate yourself with real knowledge and good life habits and characteristics will appear and grow. It just comes down to how much do you want it???
