I didn't understand when people said "I dedicate this song to my parents" but now I'm actually relating to this and it hits hard that I'm not the only one. I see my self devastated, crying, wanting to die, runaway from home whenever I'm around my parents but I'm so much healthier and happier when they are not around.

This really relates to me and my mom. I feel so happy away from her and I wish it wasn't like this but she's so toxic; I hate certains words and phrases just because of her, I have attachment avoidant issues, anxiety, and so much more only because of her. She ruins genuinely good moments, making people uncomfortable or awkward and makes everything about her. I make excuses, saying she's not always like that, but she is like that. I ignore my friends being concerned about my homelife and shut them out about my feelings and whats going on because they wouldn't understand. I want to talk shit about her and expose how abusive she is, but I can't. I feel so guilty because she's my mom. I want to be loved, I want someone that genuinely wants to understand me, doesn't use the things I want to manipulate me, I want someone to guide me, I want someone who doesnt make me feel guilty for being born, I want someone who doesn't blame everyone else for their problems...I just want a mom who loves me.

Dude. I feel like you wrote what's happening to me. I talk back to my mother because I can't take her negative remarks and how she thinks she's always right. And the worst part is you try to explain to them that they are toxic and don't understand where the line is, and they deny any wrong doing. They never apologize and they never see what's wrong so they keep doing it. It's a house of hell. I already have the worst depression of my life. But any way. You're not alone my friend! You need to express your feelings if not you'll explode. But don't do it behind her back, tell her in person how she makes you feel. Some people need to know how their actions affect others, then they change. Others remain in denial and don't make changes. All you can do is try. My mother has never changed, but maybe your mother will. Best of luck to you.

My friend, you're not alone, my mom loves me so much but her attitude like I'm a baby, and if I don't do what her asks or says, every things turns upside down immediately. But it's okay, I will take her advises if it can apply in my entire life, just remember one way or another, every things will have its own solution. Honestly this song is what my stroke induced seizure felt like. It starts slow and quiet, slowly goes heavy and chaotic, and then ends heavily distorted and loud. The first time I ever heard this song I legit just broke down in tears. I was in a bad place but was too stressed and pressured to notice. The way this song subverts all expectations of what you expect it to be and then any form slowly unravels and frays and finally breaks... I've grown up thinking that I'm in a normal family but not until when I turn adult. I started to realize how my siblings would do and said some things to my parents. Now that my father is gone, all I wanted to do in my life is live with my mom far away from my older siblings. Although I am the youngest child - I can see all inside the house. They don't deserve my mama, I wanted us to live alone just the two of us. I wanted to stay by her side. I won't left her and treat her how my old siblings do. I feel all the emotions and screams in this song as I am also been tired of all their shit and how I wanted to have my own life for once.
