To the question "Is fame really that bad?" I imagine it is. Billie had a stalker who threatened to kill her and hung around her house for hours on hours. She can't go outside without people asking for pictures and things, not even to go to the grocery store or to a restaurant to eat with family. Plus, when you're famous, people look into every single bad thing you've done, no matter how long ago you did it, and they try to turn that against you. Fame seems really stressful.

This song is about fame. Those 3 figures behind her in the beginning are her family. Even when she turns around and doesn’t see them they’re there, and they have her back. The cars represent fame. It came at Billie and her family fast and in their face. And at first yes, you crave fame- because it’s equated with success. In the second part the figures behind her are all the things that come with fame: stalkers, publicity, agents, labels, fans, loss of privacy and a sense of peace…. They too are there even when you can’t see them. The cars still represent fame only now it’s something that is coming after her, and it’s fast and furious and dangerous. When she says “ you hit me so hard “ YOU = FAME.

she has delt with depression her whole life and it got worse in 2017 to now when she started getting famous. she almost took her own life in 2018 aswell. she started getting happier in 2019/2020 but now people are saying shes falling back into depression because of all the bodyshaming and people telling her to kill herself. they have been mocking her tics and sending death threats as well. i feel awful for her, the public doesnt let the poor girl breathe and shes only 19.

Billie Eilish is getting a lot of hate because the man she is currently dating made some remark about the LGBT, it was homophobic and it just came out that he was also racist in the past so people are really mad at Billie about that but the craziest thing is that they are not even trying to hold the man accountable for his actions, all they are doing is calling Billie out for it as if it’s her fault when the truth is she met him years after he said those things so obviously she didn’t know about it till now. I mean her boyfriend have apologized about it but as a black woman but people have the right to not accept his apology if they don’t want to. I just don’t see why they are coming at Billie when she wasn’t the one who said those things in the first place 🤦🏾‍♀️ lastly people are mad at Billie for posting a picture on her Instagram with all the girls from the that the “Lost cause” Music video and captioned it “I love girls” during pride month bc some ppl automatically assume she was saying she is bisexual but when she didn’t say anything they said she was queerbaiting during pride month which is stupid because if they had pay attention to the pictures they would’ve know that the pictures are from when they were making the “Lost Cause” music video so it meant absolutely nothing. She was just showing love to the girls who where in her video but her fans want her to like girls so bad that they got mad at her for it and said she was queerbaiting, it’s so annoying.

I love Billie so much, one of my favorite song artists, I was gonna go to one of the concerts at the university park in Pennsylvania but couldn’t go because I was positive for covid which was disappointing but I got to see behind a screen so I’ll see her when her next album she releases so I can see when she goes on tour next year!! 😆☺️
