honestly i really want her to use full connected head voice, tbh i wanna see her get vocal training so she can start doing this like, sustainably cause i know her voice has to be tired lmao.

Christopher Adam no i know, but there’s a way to use technique and style, like she could lighten of the connection between her chords while she using headvoice and create a more nimble less full bodied headvoice, basically i just think it would be benificial for her to have great technique that will help her sing the way she wants for longer.

Wifi Slush idk i mean not really, lmao, it would sound similar but be healthier. also it would basically sound the same, like i’m not saying that she shouldn’t use like an airy falsetto but like i think it would be bad ass if we could hear some full bodied headvoice as like the instrumentals to one of her songs and she could do it live that would be hella cool and such an artistic contrast.

Awesomeslush it’s gonna change her voice so that notes come out easier and cleaner. Getting vocally trained and developing a healthy technique is gonna protect her voice and not doing so for the sake of ‘style’ is plain dumb

I feel like Billie's low range isn't appreciated enough, people are usually like "yeah high notes are so hard" but low notes can sometimes be even more difficult. One of my favorite examples is COPYCAT, where she goes from E3("don't be cautious, don't be *kind* ") to G5("sorry I'm the one that told you *so* "), that's almost two octaves and a half. Billie is not only talented in her pitch control when singing with her head voice (which can be very difficult BTW) but also talented in her dynamic range. One thing is being able to reach a note in your range, and other to sound good through all of it.

If you wonder why she don't have a wide range, it is because her vocal classification in Fach system is a Soubrette Soprano, a vocal type that have a sweet and angelic tone, and very breathy vocals, but also do not have a particularly wide range nor a full developed chest and mixed voice.
@byronmisa3124
@byronmisa3124 4 жыл бұрын
FYI Soubrette soprano is for opera and also a good one can hit a C5 in full chest voice, belting, above with mix voice and reach a C6 with head voice The lady Eilish does not!
@musiktranen
@musiktranen 4 жыл бұрын
@@byronmisa3124 Actually not. Vocal classification is not only for opera, but also for non-classical music, because it is related with physiological aspects, like larynx size, placement and vocal chord flexibility. Billie is able to sing up to D5 in mixed voice, and we have not heard her full vocal range yet. She uses a completely different technique in head voice, not operatic at all, and also she does not have a proper placement do make 6th octave note possible, although her vocal type would make it possible. Anyway, she is a untrained Soubrette. Most untrained Lyric Tenors strain above E4, and have difficulties with head voice above C5, almost ever not being able to sing above D5, but we are not claiming that they are not Tenors. Billie have all the characteristics of a Soubrette, so, range is not really the right criteria to consider.
@musiktranen
@musiktranen 4 жыл бұрын
@@byronmisa3124 Also, full chest voice in C5 is obviously strained, it should be on balanced mix to be healthy. Also, belting does not exist in opera. Mixed voice is often thin and rarely used when it comes to female voices.

Eb3 - G5* (the D3 wasn't sung). She definitely has the potential to do more, especially sing higher; considering she's a *Soubrette* who will probably mature into a *Light Lyric Soprano.* She definitely hasn't gone anywhere near her peak in the higher range. With that being said, hopefully she develops a connected head voice because singing in such an airy falsetto most of the time & for extended periods will wear her voice out (& may unfortunately lead to vocal damage).

Billie is actually a really good singer. Some people overlook low notes but they're really hard to do and how much breath control and overall control she has over her voice is amazing. And she doesn't even whisper she just has a softer voice it doesn't have to be overly loud to sing good.

Because she is a Soubrette Soprano, her voice is naturally soft and quiet, so her full voice is a bit hard for her to use. And also Soubrette Soprano's don't usually have a wide range, but they rock because of the angelic and sweet tone.
