He got legit mvp hype before he got hurt. With a banged up oline and hurt recievers. He's already top 5 in the afc already. Could he have a slump of course. but acting like he didnt have the best rookie qb season weve seen is ridiculous. But I agree💯 expectations is different than no one expecting anything out of us. To be fair, the Bills looked better when they had a run game in the 2nd half of the season and Josh stopped forcing throws down the field. Josh really isn't the problem. It's time that he takes his foot off the gas, stops running around (taking hits) so much and starts spreading the ball. Stefon can be replaced. The defense, though, lost some major players.

the answer to the 2nd question is no. Stroud is great. but in my opinion, he had a lightning in a bottle year that’s gonna be hard to replicate. He set his OWN bar high so expectations is now AFC Divisional every year. His team is great, but you also gotta look at the other teams that are spending just as much money as the Texans and are in the AFC. Trevor had a down year because he was playing injured for 5-6 games, Joe Burrow was injured mid season so the Bengals relegated to Jake Browning. the Chargers and Jim Harbaugh are drafting OL and DL and LBs to help Justin Herbert. Jaguars Chargers and Bengals will be in the mix next year.

There is definitely no guarantee CJ will play as well this year. Dak Prescott had an incredibly similar rookie season (kinda absurdly similar). At the end of the season all the talking heads were calling him elite and the next great NFL QB and thought he’d be in the MVP runnings in 2017. In reality his play and the team declined, the defense was garbage and his receiving core was pretty bad. Teams also had film on him and were able to find his weaknesses. That being said the Texans look like they are doing everything in their power to make sure the same thing does not happen with CJ, and I think he will be very good. Just don’t be surprised if he does not live up to the “MVP race” hype in a historically rough year 2 for QBs.

McD has alway wanted a running game, without the QB. one of the reasons why he and Dabol had issues towards the end. an actual running game protects your QB, protects his defense. sure appears Stef wanted out, and the Bills figured out they can win without him. gigantic salary, getting older, not going to use him, time to move on. got something when they could, cuz next year, if he stayed, with terrible numbers, nobody is giving anything for Stef. nobody wants to eat 30 mil in dead cap, most likely the Bills wanted to at least try and keep him around till next year when they could get out from that contract. imagine Stef didnt want any part of that. cant have a guy like that stick around when he doesnt want to be there. sure it looks bad atm, better now than later.

joe brady ran the ball because its what mcdermott wanted him to do? what sort of insane logic is this. Brady ran the ball because the bills face some of the highest rates of 2 deep safeties and light boxes in the league, as a result IT WORKED? so either his argument is McDermott wanted him to do the right thing despite him thinking he should be fired, or is implying joe brady completely lucked into significantly improving the bills offense.

Buffalo obviously has their eyes on someone (WR) in the draft. Honestly dude wasn't worth it in Joe Brady's new offence. He also just looked horrible in the last half of the season. Hands weren't as sure and kinda looked slow (which isn't great at his size) I think Buffalo's main problem against KC is late game situations. They always seem to doom them a bit.

In a year where QBs make or break their legacy, everyone is really quick to give CJ Stroud a piece of the elite QB pie. Year 2 is a very good litmus test for QBs. A year of tape is worth a lot in the NFL as far as defenses being able to prepare a gameplan defensively to stop a star QB. Also, Houston's defense is likely not a top 8 defense.

That stat on throws over 20+ yards for CJ & Josh Allen, the reason Allens were horrible is bc he targets Diggs the highest percentage than i think any WR I believe for a couple years, and CJ never targeted anyone more than 18.5% of the time, it was almost equal distribution, a true leader and analytical QB who can dissect instantly in play to make perfect reactions. He will hold a Lombardi one day if not multiple. I bet Allen to Diggs is over 35% if not +40%.
