I saw Efren miss the ball on at least two kicks in this match. That's more kicks that he missed in one match than I've ever seen him miss. GOAT

Aw man... never thought I'd ever find this Match!!! Billy the Kid vs Bata ...👍👍 Great game by both but I must admit that this may be the poorest I've ever seen the GOAT shoot?? And he STILL won 11-8 😉 Thought Billy had it a couple times.... but he too made some uncharacteristically unforced errors. Sort of a strange match tbh, but that's what makes this great game so iconic, there's never the same layout of balls and as the saying goes... "anything can truly happen". Like Reyes missing a routine shot on the 9 Ball?!? 😲 Thanks for the upload.. Cheers 🍻

1995 was the XXI Sands Regency Open. That’s the same event Efren makes the famous Z shot in the match with Earl.

Billy was pretty solid, but both missed a couple crucial shots. Billy had a few too many bad rolls.

Billy is the man! He used to work for me up in Napa and after work, he spent many hours working with me on my game.. Playing pool with a professional is a whole different experience. You think that you're good and then you see what good really looks like and it's crazy. I still have and play a sweet cue that he bought me for my bday one year. Miss that guy. Ricky Billy! lol

Why do I think Billy's cue looks weird?

old accu-stats is the best. I must have over 80 matches on vhs. I don't like the modern looking, blue clothed streaming stuff you see today. there's something about the 2 cameras, billy and grady (r.i.p.) going back and forth and that intro! that 80s guitar heavy intro. then it became more intense sounding in the early 2000s. back when the us open looked like the us open. back when busty had his stroke and not allison fisher's like he does now

What's wrong with Efren. I've seen him miss more shots in one game in this match than I have seen him miss in an entire match in the past. Efren kicks at the 6 ball and hits it, but off the table it goes. Efren then picks it up off the floor and puts it in a pocket and Billy takes it as a ball-in-hand foul. But according to APA and CPA rules, Efren didn't make a foul because he successfully hit his object ball which went off the table. It should have been spotted up and Efren continued to shoot.
