There are a zillion artists described as “underrated,” and I don’t know what that means. I do know that few people realize the tremendous contribution Bill Bremner has made to rock music.

Love Billy & his ‘Rockfiles’... saw them at the 100 Club a couple of times & they were absolutely terrific. Rockpile were one of the best live acts you could see in the late ‘70’s / early ‘80’s always for an astonishingly low admission fee... talk about value for money! So glad that Billy is keeping the Rockpile flame burning.

Dave Edmunds's hearing is shot, Terry Williams no longer plays, Nick Lowe does his own thing his own way, that leaves what you have here!

Yes! Soooooooo many great songs (and a few really, really good ones). I always dug Rockpile, so this puts a big smile on my face. Thanks!

Billy is an awesome player, it's amazing how much he sounds like Dave Edmunds vocally!

could be that a lot of what you heard on the Dave Edmunds' albums was actually Billy?

Yes agree!/Tony

@@RobertMoloneyFor sure. I never got to see Rockpile perform live, so it wasn't until I watched some of their videos that I realized that some of my favorite "Dave Edmunds" guitar parts were actually played by Billy Bremner. No disrespect to Dave, of course. Rockpile were fantastic all around. I've been enjoying their music for over 40 years!

BASH is WAY underrated! ha i always thought in down down down he was saying "I'm headed for relief" I also think now the first notes cascading from 1:32:52 :52 to1:32:55 .55 are a tribute to Danny Cedrone of rock around the clock in the last song trouble boys that is
I think he sings this just as good, if not better, than Dave Edmunds. Love them both.

Micke Finell here on bass guitar, also plays guitar and amazing SAXOPHONE! 3:27, Was it just me? I could not see who was actually singing this song... Was someone left off the video? Ok a bit in, I could see it must have been the drummer singing.. Well, it's odd to have the singer so hidden and not have the video on the actual vocalist.
@kennethlofgren4 жыл бұрын
Yes Micke is a multi talented guy! Don't know how many artists/band he have played with! Sorry for the video, I was lazy and placed the camera on a beer bottle and let it be there, to save my troubling neck!

It's great to Billy playing again. I loved Rockpile and I've followed its members and their individual careers. If I were to ever meet Billy Bremner myself I would offer to play in his band. The other guy he has playing with him is not good enough in my opinion. He looks like a bum he plays Dave's Parts adequately but he's uninspired. I would love to play with Billy I know all of these songs. None the less I loved this video this was a very enjoyable find
@kennethlofgren6 жыл бұрын
You had to come to Sweden where Billy lives now days. Here he plays in different band, as his own trio and backing up other artists. Perhaps you and him can set up a new band!:-) This band was just setup before the tour. They have recorded a CD and will make a tour in Europe, UK etc in January/February.
@rickdagger22096 жыл бұрын
Kenneth Löfgren hey dude thanks for the response. Obviously you're a big Rockpile fan. I saw Rockpile twice I've also seen Dave Edmunds a couple of times and for a very brief time I worked for Nick Lowe. In my opinion they were the best band of the British new wave movement and Billy the man is a guitar God. Although as I stated I didn't care much for Billy's new band mates I would have given anything to have seen this show. If I'm ever in Sweden which is possible as I am a touring musician and I have been there before I will certainly try to look up Billy Bremner I would love to play in his band for a while I think I could do the Dave Edmunds guitar parts Justice admittedly I don't have Dave Edmunds incredible vocal range but I sure as hell know every one of his guitar licks. I really enjoyed your post my friend thank you for sharing this with the world. I live in Toronto Canada but I'm moving to Los Angeles California in a few weeks. I hate and despise Donald Trump but I love America. As Neil Young said Keep On Rockin in the Free World
