I do remember Gilgamesh was taught in English class in high-school here in the USA. It was how-ever taught as a "fable-ish" just like how the ancient Summarian, Egyptian, Greek and Roman's beliefs as "MYTHOLOGY" despite evidence. Later in college I again relearned same story with a little more detail, with provan facts and evidence yet still called "MYTHOLOGY". So I asked if later "relegions" considered a mythology since it was based on much older "beliefs" and it was well known and taught that Syncretism or similar assimilation of older "MYTHS" is a big part of newer relegion. My question was deemed "SACRILEGE" as a Christian and eathly offensive to ask to a Muslim. That's when I learned that beyond what was taught in that class, POLITICS rule them all. It just depends on location, popularity and TIME, one thing in common is the existence of human and our capability to repeat history for good or bad.

Thot says to the people of Khem (which I think you said it refers to the people of Egypt) to beware not to betray his secrets to the men of the north and south. Isn't this a bit of a paradox? Isn't he a Brother of Light? Wouldn't he want for humanity to join him in the brotherhood of light? Then what is this secrecy with the teachings?
