Composer and pianist Billy Childs performs the concert "Do You Know My Name" together with the WDR BIG BAND under the direction of Ansgar Striepens and Florian Ross. With her lyrical vocals, the young Cologne singer Sabeth Pérez adds new accents of color to this major musical project, for which Florian Ross and Ansgar Striepens arranged all of Billy Childs' compositions. The concert "Do You Know My Name" was produced in February 2018 at the Kölner Philharmonie.

Four-time GRAMMY winner Billy Childs has long collaborated with many jazz greats throughout his career, including jazz trumpeter Freddie Hubbard, the Lincoln Jazz Orchestra and the Kronos Quartet. His compositions, compiled for the WDR BIG BAND, are about human trafficking and unrequited love, as well as American landscapes and the Hindu god Shiva.
