Billy Dainty born [William Hooper Frank John Dainty was a British Comedian,dancer,physical comedian and pantomime and television star.Dainty was born in Wolverhampton street,Dudley Worcestershire.Born 22 Feb 1927 died 19 November 1986.Aged 59

I absolutely adore this fabulously gifted man. One of the best all-rounders this country has ever produced. I would love to have met him backstage, shook his hand, and thanked him for touching my life. RIP Billy 💖

Worked with him on a show in '70,s. All round fabulous entertainer, it was a privilege to work with him. Lovely off stage too. Taken too soon.

I know exactly what you mean.I reminds me of rainy summer nights,either Good old days,London paladium or Upstairs downstairs,it just seemed tedious,but I could watch it all day now..

He and Barry Cryer starred in a 4-part BBC Radio series about the songwriting duo of R.P. Weston and Bert Lee, who composed hundreds of music-hall songs. The series also featured a chorus of 2 women and 2 men (one of whom was Dudley Stevens) from the Players Theatre.

Good old Arfur on drums - Arfur Beatlate. (The drummer is crucial to an act like this, he wasn't watching - he missed so many bits!). Great to see and hear(!) Billy in action. Thanks for posting 😎
