The French backup singers are saying: Les yeux sans Visage which translates to Eyes without a face. It is also an early French horror movie about a disfigured girl and her doctor dad killing young women to do surgeries to restore her face. Other hot Idol songs: Mony,Mony; White Wedding; Cradle of Love and Rebel Yell. He was also was supposed to play the Terminator villain in T2 but was injured and Robert Patrick got the part. he recently received a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Idol’s best song imo, but kind of a “curveball” from his previous big hits (White Wedding, Rebel Yell etc). I was very familiar with both of those, but “Eyes” is his masterwork.

A true classic by one of punks best. The 70s and 80s would not have been the same without Billy Idol. The title of the song is from a French horror movie. The girl singing in the background is his girlfriend at the time singing it in French. Billy had some of the best punk music. Rebel yell, white wedding (anti wedding song),flesh for fantasy ( named after a movie flesh and fantasy), mony mony , and cradle of love. He is filmed from the waist up in the video because of a motorcycle accident and at the time couldn't walk. He's still out there rockin hard with his guitarist Steve Stevens. Just saw them in concert this month. And this song will always be my favorite because I know what it is like to date a narcissist and that's what the song is about.

Same guitarist from my fav Michael Jackson (R.I.P.) song, "Dirty Diana"! More Billy Idol, as this is one of his more mellow hits, try "Dancin' With Myself" or "Rebel Yell", then maybe "White Wedding"

Awesome......you two grew up in the wrong times for different some many great types of Rock and Roll......but now, you get it! Saw Idol once in Norfolk Virginia, was in the Air Force on leave at the time.
