In 1998, musician Billy Joel sat down with Steve Kroft for a candid conversation in which he shared a theory on his success. "When you're competent, and you live in an age where there's a lot of incompetence, it makes you appear extraordinary," he said.
"60 Minutes" is the most successful television broadcast in history. Offering hard-hitting investigative reports, interviews, feature segments and profiles of people in the news, the broadcast began in 1968 and is still a hit, over 50 seasons later, regularly making Nielsen's Top 10.

Thank you kindly, 60 minutes. Your history has been followed since you began or maybe since 1955 lol and the belief that "music is best " came from words of Frank Zappa who went through most everything on earth then results: #music is #best and grateful teachers were once students whether it was self-tutelage or engaged with others, the idea and brands throughout history of how the wind sounds makes my Ancient & Accepted Masonic travels that much more rewarding after youth, adult, then #oldagegeezer in poor health but gratefully of the physical body and not the mind. #smib *Wallace and Ayn Rand. Wallace and the author from England who moved to California and gave an exemplary version of advertising, freedom, and for me it was about music of the inflection and tenor of one's voice when Opera is best comes to mind from the beginning of time acting as though TODAY is the last day of life. Ever to virtue with fellows of the craft who are masters of truth and integrity. I like Billy Joel and how he explained music because both our children began piano lessons with a wonderful lady, before they were ten years of age. It proved invaluable for their happiness as children unknowing of life and the human condition of their parental joy in hearing and seeing how quickly they picked it up and ran with it now since 1989 and 1992 Kev/Shan-Calson Associates circa 1920. 🐬So mote it be. Ever to virtue with fellows in the Craft who are masters of truth and integrity with quality of life for all inhabitants of #Earth. Brotherly love, truth, and relief (music) for those in distress.

Seems to be the tough part about being a solo. He doesn’t have a Lennon or McCartney to tell him what’s good or isn’t good about his music.

I just read that this was from 1998. I was thinking boy he looks a lot younger all of a sudden lol. Yea he is great in that his most famous music from the 70s which really is his bedrock captured ethnic NYC of that era. I was an 8 year old immigrant to LA from Scotland back in the late 70s and knew nothing about NYC but his music gave me a window into that world.

God loves you and takes care of you so that this message reaches you. God is the one who created this great universe and has complete control over it. And the greatest loss that a person loses in this life is that he lives while he does not know God who created him, knowing the Messenger of Muhammad, the last of the messengers, and the Islamic religion, the last of the heavenly religions. The great intelligence, before you believe in something or not, is to read it, study it, and understand it well, and then you have the choice to believe in it or not. I advise you on this now before you do not have time to do that.

The song only the Good die Young, his words say, I'd rather laugh with the sinner than cry with the saints! This song is delusional! There's a heaven and there's a hell! Which one do you prefer? There's not going to be any laughing in hell! There's going to be weeping and gnashing of teeth! which path will you choose? I'd rather choose heaven! 🙏

I like Billy Joel, but his arrogance shows a side of him rarely seen. Pride always comes before a fall, hope his landing from the fall is an easy one...arrogance is always so ugly. Talented people's abilities need no boasting.

@@theadventuretravelchannel I really appreciate that we feel the same thing! I also hate the song drops of Jupiter! The lights haven't faded an heaven isn't overrated! The group train has no idea who God is? And that one joke writer who wrote the song tell me all your thoughts about God because I really love to meet her? 😠🚨🎆
