These are rather unique vocals

I always heard "I'm nearly good at being good at goodbyes" - somehow that seemed always fitting; I never got the feeling the person the song is about is actually happy with how they are, always felt like there was some deep regret - but they just can't help themselves, bouncing around from one short lived affair to the next. Nothing about it seems "right" (not from a moral but an emotional point of view) - so yeah, the 'nearly good' always sounded somehow more fitting than the 'really good' ^^ - anyhow; it's a great song with so much emotion either way
