Love seeing DCE and Slater clutch at straws blaming the refs but overlooking: -The missed Hammer knock on and then 3 consecutive piggyback penalties thereafter -reece Walsh’s boot clearly touch in goal not being called -Klein’s ridiculous attempt to orchestrate a penalty try with Luai holding his ground and 4 nsw players in the backfield -QLD lying in the ruck and slowing NSW’s play the ball to 4.1 seconds compared to their 3.6 It is such poor sportsmanship when even if NSW had the rub of the green (they obviously didn’t ^) that the QLD captain and coach sit there and avoid taking accountability. As QLD no excuses we lost. If any excuse it's because our own doing. QLD lost cause of two things One Kick return back three struggled to set sets up with good field position and go forward Two Not carrying enough forwards on the bench going too many playmakers unwilling to cut people Harry grant should start Hunt utility on the bench And choose between ponga Walsh and dearden as who your going to cut So if you cut Walsh deearden 6 ponga IIf you cut ponga Walsh 1 dearden 6 If you cut dearden ponga 6 Walsh 1 If anything isn’t working you have hunt as utility You can’t play them all even if you are Queenslanders You needed the extra forward in the rotation That’s where you lost You had to do a lot of tackles then your forwards are going to get gassed sooner and the back end of the game is going to open up That’s what happened I’m impressed that it took 65 minutes and the intensity was high that entire time Well done the players that was an amazing performance to go that hard as long as they did amazing stuff

I'm a qlder and the refereeing was solid. We got away with a lot, so I wouldn't blame the ref for anything. If you want someone to blame, I'd look at that second penalty you decided to kick for 2 points and not go for a set play and score a try. Have to be smarter than that. 4 points is not an unwinnable margin. I'd also look at Reece Walsh. He did nothing but sabbotage us on attack.

I never agreed with bringing Gagai back, maybe as an interchange ok as he has been playing really well but Ponga should have been in the centres from the start not sitting on the bench, NSW did it with Latrell and it worked great.
