I told my husband watching them play together is like watching a mating dance. lol! They’re so intuitive…almost as if they’re of the same mind. Maybe it’s a virtuoso thing? All I know is that they’re both amazing and blessed! Thanks for posting this! It’s lovely.❤

So funny you say that because totally get it! I've watched billy play with others and I see the same thing. He and molly play and I tell my wife it's likes like good clean love making with their instruments

Charm school is a master class of improv. Thile and Bela together is bad ass. That’s a very small fraternity

Thanks for posting this. I was there. It was such a great show. I'd love to see them do more shows together. They played off each other so well. They were having a blast as well as the audience. After each song it was huge applause. This little theater in Lincoln center was renovated and is now easily one of the best Acoustically sounding little theaters you can possibly see a show at. It was perfect for this stripped down performance. They didn't practice a whole lot before the show but it was like they've been playing together their whole lives. Just gorgeous!!

Has anyone tried playing bass to ANY of these two’s videos? The timing is all over the place. Just terrible. One will set the speed and as soon as the other takes a break it’s either faster or slower. Been playing 45 years and never had such a hard time following. Picking is great but it comes at an expense.

Chris is such a creative innovator it’s hard keeping up with him. Time changes, key changes all on the fly. It’s not that he’s trying to catch you off guard it’s just him. Not a lot of players can keep up. Billy got mad improv skills but the resume isn’t there to go toe to toe comfortably with the mando GOAT.
