dude you need to check out Del Mccoury Band or the Tavelin' Mccourys! Excellent BG along the same vein as this. Very popular in the jam festival scene. Railroad Earth and String Cheese Incident would also suit you.

My uncle was a very big man, shaking his hand was like grabbing a bundle of bananas. He played mandolin like this also it always amazed me bn a guitar player how he played with fingers 4 times the size of mine!

The best guitar player I've personally known is 6'2" and has enormous hands with thick fingers. I have very fine "piano hands" with long slender fingers, but my guitar chops (what few I have) don't hold a candle to his.

Yeah ,"Country" is Nashvilles top 40 , bluegrass is it's own thing all together. Check out Bill Monroe and the older eras, Strings definitely got some influence from him.

Everyone's is born with a talent ten percent stumble across it , and once in a great while a guy comes along and knows his god given talent right out of the box! There's no denying it, no fighting it. It's just who you are just like the hair you comb or the breath you take. This guy knows it like he knows anything else about himself. I believe he is the best at what he does.

I went to Chicago over the weekend and introduced my 10 year old little sister to this kind of music. Never heard country or bluegrass in her life, but these 3 minutes listening to this, along with other songs with the same sound and beat have pretty much converted her in a sense. Now I'm just waiting for those Banjos to start ringing all through that house instead of the same beat people used in their music since 2008
