Fun fact: the left tail light is flashing only on the green line trains. Why? Because that line extends beyond the borders of Milan as an above-ground train, so the flashing light can be useful in case of heavy rainfalls or fogs to enhance the visibility.

In reality is because the green is the only one that is not semi-automatic.

I can tell that at @0:02, the view is on the northbound platform to Gessate / Cologno Nord, at the Sant'Ambrogio station. The train just came from Sant'Agostino which has dual level platforms. Lower for southbound to Abbiategrasso / Assago Milanofiori Forum and upper for northbound. I first filmed at that station on Monday 18th September 2000 when the first generation rolling stock dating to the late 1960s/early 1970s were still being used. At some point, Sant'Agostino will have a connection to the future M4 which goes eastbound to Linate Airport. I think it is supposed to be completed by 2025.

Moi, je viens de Milan. J'étudais français au college jusqu'à l'année dernière. J'aime beaucoup les metros de ma ville. Magnifique video ! P.S.Je suis désolé si j'ai fait quelques erreurs mais je n'étudie plus français, donc... 😅😢

My first time riding the Milan Metro line 2, was Saturday 5th July 1997. Since then, every rolling stock for that line has a blinking red light on the left rear side. From the original rolling stock to the most modern one, there is always a blinking red light on the left rear side for that line, but no other lines, not 1, not 3 and probably not 5. I still do not know why. Can anyone possibly explain the situation for line 2? If not, it is okay. La première fois que je montais sur la ligne 2 du métro de Milan, c'était le samedi 5 juillet 1997. Depuis lors, chaque matériel roulant de cette ligne a un feu rouge clignotant sur le côté arrière gauche. Du matériel roulant d'origine au matériel le plus moderne, il y a toujours un feu rouge clignotant à l'arrière gauche de cette ligne, mais aucune autre ligne, ni 1, ni 3 et probablement pas 5. Je ne sais toujours pas pourquoi. Quelqu'un peut-il éventuellement expliquer la situation pour la ligne 2? Sinon, ça va.

It's because the M2 is the only metro line that goes also outside tunnels so trains need to be visible also with fog and bad weather

The other lines (M1 & M3) go outside only in depots, where they travel at less than 15 km/h, so they don’t need a flashing red light

Sono di Torino e invidio moltissimo Milano, perchè rispetto alla mia città è lontana anni luce come vitalità, organizzazione e modernità. Duole dirlo ma è l'unica vera metropoli italiana.

I think Sant'Ambrogio is where on 13th September 2011, I used a payphone on the platform level - big mistake, but it was important to make the call at the time. It was quite difficult to carry out the conversation, because every five minutes or so a train would pull into the station. Good thing the call was reverse-charges with the recipient's consent. My cellphone could not make calls at that time, hence the need to use a payphone. Je pense que Sant'Ambrogio était l'endroit où, le 13 septembre 2011, j'ai utilisé un téléphone public au niveau de la plate-forme - grosse erreur, mais il était important de faire l'appel à ce moment-là. La conversation était assez difficile, car toutes les cinq minutes environ, un train arrivait à la gare. Heureusement que l'appel a été inversé avec le consentement du destinataire. Mon téléphone portable ne pouvait pas téléphoner à ce moment-là, d'où la nécessité d'utiliser un téléphone public.

Je crois que la station à 0:00 est le terminus de la ligne et le métro fait une boucle...(je crois)
