Same, back in the 8th grade I remember a girl that I was friends with she was a poor soul; she was one of those people that wanted to "die" and I was somewhat friends with her and; to cut the story short she got ran over by a mini-van and die in the hospital (I don't remember) I didn't cry about it but, I want to and my head get over it and I did; kinda or I would not be writing this lol [true story]

I would say so. Even though 90s and on Had really great music, the 80s laid a foundation for basically everything we know and love today, Fashion, consumerism, Cartoons, Electronic music. Ppl dont realize how different the world was before the 80s, when the 80s came around ppl really thought they were living in the future and it makes sense because after that there was really nowhere to go but regress into more of an earthly raw existence which was basically what the grunge era was all about.

2024 I woke up singing this song. I thought I had left my cellphone playing music, but no, apparently my mind was having a blast and singing this song all along. I asked my husband as I hummed the song. I only remembered "eyes without a face," so we searched on Google. Mind you, I was born in 1985 and my husband in 1988, so we weren't even born when this song was popular. But my cerebellum knows the lyrics completely. How is that possible? I wasn't even listening to music before I went to sleep. The dream was so vivid, and now I'm mesmerized by the video too.

I lost my wife to cancer about 4 years ago. Hearing this song reminds me of lying in bed with her late at night watching videos on MTV. We were young looking forward to our lives together. We never got to spend many of our golden years together though and I long for those good times back in the 80s. 🥺

Back in the 1980’s I loved Billy Idol and my mom would tease me and tell me I’d get over loving his music when I grew up. Well, I’m all grown up and I still love his music. It’s funny how you hear a song and it brings back fond memories, or you can even bond with a total stranger.

I was a sophomore in high school and my grandfather had just died. I remember my father and all of the adults sitting around talking. I went out to my father's car to listen to the radio. As I was searching for something to listen to, this song came on. From the very first note, I was in love with it. Songs like this are beautiful, bittersweet nostalgia.

When my childhood dog died I did the same thing I remember coming home late from work and my grandma woke up to use the restroom like she always did and I just started to relax then I heard her scream my name I got up so quick and in a panic to see what happen and she just looked at me and screamed “she’s dead” I jumped passed just just to see my babygirl laying there not a look on her face I just remember her eyes man and all I could do was hold her and cry the rest of the night playing this song

Modern music doesnt seem to have the depth or creativity of the 80s, some of it sounds decent but mainstream music is unlistenable and would have you darting for the off button on the radio, it wasnt really like that in the 80s.
