I'd just like to say thank you to all 190 viewers who took part in our poll. I had a lot of fun going through the stats, editing everything together, and I'm pretty happy with how it all turned out. If you guys are interested in more Community Rankings for other games, let me know. I haven't covered any of the Soulsborne games via difficulty, so those could be fun to tackle.

Victor being easy or hard doesn't matter. to me at least, because of how fun it is to fight him. Dodging, blocking, and the rare, occasional parry makes this fight work as a brawler boss. He's my personal favorite
@Eo-ms3kw

Absolutely agree although that doesn't seem to be a particularly popular opinion. I just enjoy perfect blocking so much in this game and Victor's moveset is so nice for that. His punches have the perfect speed and a nice rythm while also having so much force behind them that they feel super satisfying to perfect block while also having some attacks that encourage you to dodge instead. His ost also slaps.

For me the Walker of Illusions was just an invitation to parry, it’s exactly the type of boss I was looking forward to fighting. Her attacks were a little weird and tricky at first, and it took a bit of time to learn the parry timings, but since I was so open to learning the fight and properly parrying her attacks I wouldn’t consider the boss hard at all. If you tried dodging instead of realizing you should parry or aren’t good at parrying then I could see how it would be a little more difficult, but I don’t think it deserves anything more than 5/10. Nameless Puppet and Laxasia are just objectively way harder

I'm SHOCKED that Laxasia was ranked highest. I thought the Green Monster was by far the hardest in the game. Laxasia, like the Nameless Puppet, become really easy once you stop running away from them. Their attacks are so intimidating but they're very manageable if you're brave, aggressive and learn the attacks. The Green Monster was that on steroids in such a tiny arena.

On NG+ i noticed a flaw with Nameless Puppet, he has long and heavy attack strings that just eat away very quick through your stamina when you don't perfect block, which is to say, I get why Sekiro did not have a stamina bar.
@hamzahossam662

If Sekiro had a stamina bar, it...wouldn't even be a good game. The whole point of the game is learning a combat system that you will have to use and learn whether you like it or not which is blocking and parrying being your number one priorities. Its incredible how different of experiences people have on these games. My first run i did a str only run, putting all my levels into motivity and nothing else except maybe 5 or so stamina levels and I ended up beating Romeo, BRB1, Swamp Monster, Scrapped Watchman, Mad Clown Puppet, and Kings Flame Fuoco all on my first try, but man did I get my ass kicked by Walker of Illusions, Archbishop, Door Guardian and Victor way more. I may also be a bit exaggerating perhaps, but i wouldnt really put any bosses in this game under a 4.0 in terms of difficulty either, but that might be due to the lack of hp upgrades making me almost certainly 1-2 shot by most bosses.

I think one thing people also don't take into consideration is (are you dex or str build) It changes the experience massively. I did new game and new game+ with a STR build, and then I did a completely new playthrough with dex. Dex made game so much easier, and I did Laxasia first try for instance. I think once you know you can parry her lightning her difficulty decreases massively even if you struggle with her fight head on (I only found out in newgame+) I used by far my most attempts on Nameless Puppet with it being around 20, while Laxasia was 15 and everything else was below 10. I even did Manus first try, while in NG+ it took me 6 attempts to overcome his second phase. But anyway, the only point I am to make is, difficulty can differ a lot based on build, also if you consider DEX VS STR VS MAGIC in Souls games you know players will have very different opinions. I do hope however we all can agree the soundtrack of this game is superb, and nobody talking about it is a crime.

Great list everybody. This list is about 90% the same as my own. The only differences, I thought the Atoned is the easiest stalker. Black Rabbit Brotherhood 2 was easier than their first fight for me, I beat the second fight on my first try, maybe cause I had their movesets down. Nameless Puppet took me 7 tries and isn't as difficult as people think, plus they literally gave it a lot of Lady Maria's attacks, which is my favorite boss in all gaming, so I kinda naturally recognized how to deal with his attacks, not all but a lot were taken from Lady Maria. Laxasia and Romeo were my biggest walls. Romeo 13 tries, and Laxasia 25 tries. Laxasia has been the most fun boss to get down. I actually beat her first try last night on ng+++.

There is one thing adding to the difficulty of these bosses that many people dont think about that i figure is worth considering. When i fought the Nameless Puppet, it was a struggle, i would get overwhelmed whenever he got the momentum on his side. But once i tried equipping the Amulet that removes weapon durability loss on blocking it was a night and day difference. Finding the time to restore your weapons durability throws a serious wrench into the fight that could lead to a downward spiral ending in a loss, especially against agressive opponents who wont give you any time to breathe.
@BillySYT
@BillySYT 8 ай бұрын
I think once you're able to learn the movesets, weapon durability becomes less of an issue in the fights as you maximize how to to damage as quickly as possible. But on a first playthrough, I agree.

loved the video, please do more community ranking if you enjoyed it as well. it was super fun participating in as well watching the video. i would say nameless is the hardest personally just because of the fact that he's the only boss you can't summon for. i never really used summons anyway but if you take every opportunity to fight a boss into account you have to recognize that nameless is the only boss that doesn't give you the advantage of a summon, which is probably the biggest advantage you can have in a fight. King of puppets is so weird to me because just based on my first playthrough i would absolutely agree that he's one of the hardest. however after my first playthrough, and i've played the game 8 times at this point, he just became kind of a joke in terms of difficulty tbh. not in quality, i still adore that fight but i didn't even try out new weapons or approaches on my repeat runs, he just became piss easy. like i genuinely find him easier than some of the early game bosses now. laxasia is still my favorite boss tho. easily my favorite boss in any non from soft souls like. and btw there is a tiny visual indicator for her big slam fury attack at the beginning of phase 2. she moves ever so slightly forward before doing the slam. it's really hard to see and i didn't notice it on my first couple of runs but it is there. but yeah phase 1 is great and phase 2, imo, is on par with from softs boss design. deflecting her attacks is incredibly satisfying and it feels so rewarding as well because it genuinely took me like 5 playthroughs to really understand her second phase. so at this point my skill during that phase feels so earned which makes is unbelievably rewarding. can't wait for the dlc. if these guys keep making games like this they could really rival from soft for me personally. if this is their first attempt ever at a game like this, the next project as well as the dlc could be absolutely mind blowing

Andreus was clearly the first roadblock I encountered. I was forced to perfect parry all of his moves, and I love it. The Green Monster was probably my third most difficult fight, and I agree the second phase is waaaaaay harder than the first. The only easiest thing about second phase was to build up posture, especially when he use his tentacle spam attack I don't know who I found more difficult between Nameless and Laxasia. I found Nameless really hard on my first NG and NG+. But after some NG runs, I think Laxasia was harder because of how unpredictable she could get, while now I found Nameless easier only because of practice on his parry timings. For me, Laxasia is one of the best bosses in the game but a little ruined with what I think is artificial difficulty, who always caught me off guard (god damn this triple grab, her fury attacks with no visual indications, or even her "last stand" attack when you stun her in phase 2)

I've always been one to parry alot and this boss fight only has 3 of those long delay parrys and Mad Donkey, which I hated and had way more of them, same with the Flame. I think those ones are way harder for me since this is my first souls like game, and most other games with a parry don't include long ass windups like Hollow Knight and Dead cells. Interesting how different of an experience ppl can have. And I'm sat here wondering how accurate the rest of the list is gonna be

As someone playing Lies of P as my first ever soulslike, it's very interesting seeing the community rankings compared to my own experiences. I personally felt that BRB2 was leagues easier than the first one, but it may be because I was specifically using the Puppet Ripper, which has good range and will always stagger them if you hit them with it. So I just ran away a bit and when they ran towards me i would heavy attack. I was also shocked at how low Scrapped Watchman was placed on the list. He is one of 4 bosses that took me 4 hours or longer to beat, the other 3 being BRB1, Green Swamp Monster, and King of Puppets. King of Puppets was by far the boss that took me the longest to beat, taking me just over 10 hours of grinding. But I don't think he's the hardest boss for me, and that's because the only reason he took me so long was because up until that point in the game I didn't ever use the camera lock, because I found it disorienting and distracting. But that ended up causing me to not know how I was ever supposed to get past Romeo's Fire Fowl without just getting blindly lucky, which over the course of 9 hours of grinding, happened twice. I eventually learned that dodging with camera lock gave you the much quicker dodge instead of the dodge roll, and that allowed me to much more consistently get to and past his blitzing attack.

Romeo is only rly hard because at that point of game you barely have any quartz to buff your character enough. But his moveset becomes quite predictable as you get better at it unlike some of the later bosses with weird animation/ movement. I struggled against Laxisia at first cuz her phase one, unlike other bosses in this game, are not pushover either and can drain you down quite easily before you reach P2. But then i tried Acid grindstone and find that it melt her armour and chip down her p1 easily, so i have enough resources to trade blows with her P2 and won. Didn't take more than 40 mins even.

Just finished NG4, each time trying a different build. This had a big effect on some bosses. On my advance run (NG++) the Scrapped Watchman suddenly turned into my biggest obstacle, while on the first two runs it was a more typical boss, fun, but nothing special. Advance turned out to be great against most bosses, but with the Watchman it's the opposite. He's immune to blitz and quite resistant to the other statuses. With his high HP pool and the low physical damage you get on advance it was an endurance fight, always trying to escape his one-shot-kill grab, which could turn a puppet string attack into a possible air-grabbed death.

I found the fallen arch bishop really difficult and especially in the second phase, with the charge attack (no idea how to fend this off). However, it was so difficult because my weapon was still un-upgraded, after upgrading I defeated it first try, wish I realised earlier.

The way I see it; only three bosses in the game managed to kill me more than 8 times, and those were the Walker of Illusions, The Door Guardian & The Nameless Puppet, however on a second playthrough the Walker of Illusions & The Door Guardian weren't as difficult as my first time playthrough, The Green Monster of the Swamp & Laxasia took their place, but I still found pretty manageable (Only took me 7 attempts each) compared to The Nameless Puppet who AGAIN kicked my teeth in on my second playthrough, while it only took me 15 attempts on my second playthrough compared to the 34 attempts of my first playthrough, The Nameless Puppet phase 2 still remains an absolute prick, and I messed up the Real Boy ending on my second playthrough, so I'll have to fight The Nameless Puppet AGAIN on my third playthrough 😭😭😭

I think what’s amazing about these games and this subgenre as a whole is their ability to create bosses that know how to be specific counters to specific playstyles. Making some bosses easier than others compared to other players and visa versa. This list was pretty spot on, from personal experiences I would shuffle only just a couple for myself personally of course. I think the boss that I felt was the hardest was Manus. There was just so many aoe and homing missiles and status affects to juggle on top of his wide sweeping attacks that just felt impossible to beat without a specter. But Manus I think was just that perfect counter to how I played. Perfect parrying was a cornerstone to how I played and I spent 6 hours on the first Brotherhood fight only to be able to take everything I remembered and beat them on the second encounter on my third attempt. But that doesn’t make anyone else’s experience less valid to how easy or hard Manus, the Brotherhood or any boss fight was. This game was brilliant as a whole and I love to hear everyone’s thoughts on what was easy or hard to them. There are so many unique playstyles and players out there, the developers know how to create your counter. Cheers friend! Wonderful Video! And my heart goes out to that player and their sentiments against the Door Guardian ❤

I'm surprised to see the Black rabbit brotherhood rematch somewhat high on the list and especially above the first fight. Maybe it's because I fought the first so much but I beat the rematch in one try. It was one of my favourite fights too. I love their character designs, and the arena you fight in. It also felt intense without being borderline frustrating instead of fun, like some of the fights. All you had to do was run from the others behind cover and 1v1 each like that. Cakewalk ngl.

I ranked nameless puppets rather high due to the smaller sword in phase one and especially the twin blades in phase two. At least for me those felt incredibly hard up to impossible to parry in comparison to its other movesets. Also the fact I didn’t use items so I had to repair my weapon mid fight in some occasions. AND there is a big one many probably considered during ranking: you can’t summon. The puppet is the only truly hard boss in the game you can’t use a specter to fight with you, resulting in a way harder experience than for example Laxasia with the help of an companion. Honestly I’m surprised the final boss isn’t ranked above Laxasia for that exact reason.

Nameless Puppet is by far the hardest for me. To give some context… I can’t parry even a little… and while I can dodge my favorite gameplay style FOR BOSSES specifically is cheesing them. Not even cause I can’t Fight them normally, it’s more of a power move feeling I get when I refuse to meet them on there terms. They being said. Nameless puppet is the hadest do do this with. No summon and moves way to fast for throwable. Which can destroy every mother boss

So very fascinating. I had very different experiences. The only two bossfights (excluding stalker fights), that I first tried, were Door Guardian and the Rabbit Brotherhood rematch. And I struggled the most with nameless puppet's first phase. I beat the second phase on my 5th try reaching it or so. But I died 20-30 times to the first phase. The first phase just felt very punishing with the strong knockback/stagger that could chain into the next attack easily. But maybe that is to be expected, considering how many different playstyles, builds and approaches there are. My standard approach to any fight is dodging. Only over time I start parrying a handful of attacks, that I find either difficult to dodge or assume that they are particularly easy to parry. Combine it with a heavy, slow, hard-hitting weapon and a fast roll, and it results in how I basically play every soulslike.

A huge point in favor of Romeo and Laxasia on the difficulty scale is how different phase 1 and 2 are. Even a boss like Malenia shares quite a few attacks between p1 and p2, so you can still kind of learn phase 2 without actually getting there. Romeo and Laxasia on the other hand are basically having to learn a whole moveset, and then having to learn a completely new one while also needed to get there every time.
@ungabungus01
@ungabungus01 8 ай бұрын
And swmap monster. Romeo is easier because his phase 2 is very consistent if you strafe or dodge to the left of his attacks, plus phase 1 is pretty easy to parry or dodge. Swamp monster has very odd parry timings, status effects, and an entirely different phase 2 that has fuck you attacks that are extremely difficult to parry if you get hit (all of the "swamp monster" side of the boss) but the watchman attacks are OK to parry. Only boss I used a specter on to that point in the game after spending an hour on it

I beat every boss in 1 - 5 tries, but was stuck on Nameless Puppet for days. It's hard to describe, but every time I got to his second phase, it felt like my eyes couldn't distinguish between his red aura and actual attacks. I felled his first phase with ease and got obliterated immediately at the start of the second phase, unable to learn his move set. I think another thing to note is the use of the specter. They can be extremely broken with the right wishing stone and pulling aggro from bosses, giving you ample time for free hits. I don't usually summon, but when I do it's a guaranteed 1-round-KO. As a tool from the game, this should definitely be taken into account.

Manus and especially Wabbits 2 were pretty easy for me. The former because you are given plenty of space to whack hik, even in phase 2. The latter because it's quite trivial to separate them and get backstabs if you are patient and they don't deal much damage anyway, and it's far easier to deal with the Eldest on his own compared to the first fight.

im pretty sure the door guardian hate comes from something i also went through, most people notice that DG has to be hit on the leg but they may not realize you have to hit the back of the leg to inflict the most damage and stagger to him. I was stuck on him for over an hour not realizing this trying to fight him and never getting a stagger despite PPing every attack and keeping up the aggression, only to first try him after learning of this fact.

Nameless and lax are like siblings born from a different mother, they both have a decently challenging firts phase that after some time becomes basic, boring and even easy, this being the case because of their insane second phase, what puts nameless one step further for me is that, for me the second phase is what would happen if we got rid of most of lax`s attacks for the slam at the start of the second phase, remove the fact that we can get rid of half of her healthbar with the thunder-parries as i call them, and gave her insanely fast flurry attacks, with her only weakness now being the fact thet she can be occasionally staggered.

On my second Playthrough I found Laxius to be challenging but not so bad when I buffed up with acid and used the acid wishtone on the spectre. The only issue is if she turns super aggro and takes it out really early on her second phase. Simon Manus drove me insane first time round, second time though I just stocked up on items and healed my spectre and he went down pretty easy. Nameless Puppet on both playthroughs nearly broke me. Hated this boss so much with a passion. Ridiculously high health, fast attacks that hit like a freight train and its second phase just doubles everything it does. I managed to perfect block the first phase almost every time then second phase switched to aegis and trident, timed my attacks and watched my stamina. So proud I defeated it but at what cost to my sanity 😅

Having seen what the community had to say about this the Door Guardian, I expected it to be the toughest fight in the game up to this point, but it was the easiest. This boss is designed to be almost impervious to standard slash or stab attacks and very vulnerable to fatal attacks. I came to the fight with 40 Capacity, 20 Motivity, 50 Technique and 30 advance, and armed with the Two Dragon Sword +5 and Azure Dragon Crescent Glaive +4, each with a handle altered with a technique crank. Nevertheless, each weapon took only tiny amounts of health from the boss with each hit. For the second attempt, I came with the Salamander Dagger Blade +10 attached to the Acidic Crystal Spear Handle altered with a Technique crank, which did very little damage. I also had the high-crit Tyrant Murderer's Dagger Blade +9 attached to its own and unaltered handle. I switched to this during the fight and attacked the leg while getting a successful parry here and there. When he went down I went in for the fatal attack and took about two thirds or three quarters of his health away. Another fatal attack finished him.

Laxasia is definitely hard and kicked my ass first time through, but on my NG+ playthrough she was a breeze, and I think it's because I used an acid weapon. She is very weak to acid and it allows for free damage in phase two when she is far away and can't be attacked. I highly reccomend trying an acid weapon or grindstone/consumables for anyone looking to fight her again
