I was at the Astrodome when she performed her final show. In the beginning I was wondering why she was doing a disco medley in English when it was Tejano night at the rodeo. Little did we all know it would be her final performance and would be forever immortalize as one of her best shows! Such a beautiful voice that was taken away so tragically

Her brother AB wrote most of their songs... her husband Chris played guitar, her sister Suzette played drums...

Her smiling at 4:22 always makes me burst into tears cuz you can see how much she loved what she did, that she was born to do it, and not even a month later, she was gone. I'm from south texas, I was 9 1/2 when she died, and believe me, her passing was felt by all of us 💔

I know I’ve posted a lot...but As a proud Houstonian, I want to share this for those who don’t know. This Concert was during The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, which used to be held in the Astrodome before this great monument closed its doors for good. Now, it is held at Reliant Stadium. The Rodeo and Livestock Show is a 6 week event. Starts in Feb. and ends in Mar. Each night it features an Artist. It is huge to be booked for this event. For Selena, it meant she finally made it! 60,000 seats sold out. George Strait got his start on this stage (Amarillo by morning video). I’m not sure what night this was filmed...but as a season ticket holder, I saw all the concerts and she was spectacular! She died on March 31st. Thanks.

Being from texas and a teen in the 90s she was my favorite singers and i cryed so hard when she died. I still can't watch her videos with out getting upset. She was such a grate talent and very missed. She open the door for so many girls in the music tejano music industry.

I definitely gotta give Jennifer Lopez credit for having to learn all of Selena's stage mannerisms and moves when having to recreate this performance in the movie. It cant be easy to emulate a legend. Selena was absolutely amazing and its sad her life was cut short. Who knows where her career would have gone as she was set to finally record in english.

I both love and hate listening to Selena. Love it for obvious reasons, as she was amazingly talented with the voice of an angel, and her music was amazing. Yet, hate that, as you said, SHE SHOULD STILL BE HERE, and isn’t, and it makes my heart ache to listen to what we’ve lost, even after all these years. every time i listen to her songs or watch her performances, i get happy because she’s such a talented woman and can make me smile with her presence or music, but i also cant help but get so upset, she was so talented and taken away from us too soon. as a texan and a mexican american like selena, i can relate a lot to her and it just makes me so upset such a talented young woman was taken from us so soon, she would’ve been even more popular than she was back then no doubt. when i visited her statue in Corpus Christi while i was on a field trip with my classmates last year, i couldnt help but tear up. i may not have been alive when she passed or when she was active in the music industry but she should’ve been here today. she made such a huge impact on not only the tejano community, but the Hispanic community too.

I was privileged to see her sing in San Antonio when visiting an Auntie. I’ll never forget when I found out that she had passed away. Tears, tears most times when I watch her. I can be happy but sometimes like today it’s just tears at her absolute awesomeness. I remember coming home from elementary to my whole house crying from the news. I live very close to Corpus Christi growing up so it was our local star. It was definitely hard. But she is iconic and will always be my favorite.

My man! As incredibly hard as it is to not focus your eyes and ears completely on this goddess, her band gets the fuck down. Cumbia in general has some great musicians but they knew how to combine the Texano and American pop sound to make their own sound.
