George Vanderbilt's 250-room French Renaissance chateau is a true marvel of architecture and artistry. Recognized as America's Largest Home, Biltmore House required 6 years of construction and around 1,000 workers ranging from local laborers and craftsmen to internationally known artists.

Visited in 1994, and it was the most beautiful home I’ve ever been in. The largest to be sure.

Magnificent home. Stunning Gothic architecture. I like the statues outside in the grounds. The Monet and Renoir paintings are fabulous, and would be of great value.

Been there twice, if it’s within possible for you do it. To think George Washington Vanderbilt built it as a summer home…. It is a delightful place.

What's impressive is that this home rivals European royal estates . A single family had wealth comparable or more than some countries .

Went 9/22. There was also a Leonardo da Vinci exhibit. Just wonderful. Although I do wish they would have told me about the elevator in lieu of the marble staircase without a railing.

@LvLeigh11 I live about 40 minutes away. Not sure why I waited so long to go. They showed them taking the big tree inside on the news. I'd like to go at Christmas, too. Perhaps if I have company for the holidays.

God bless us I like it very beautiful and relaxing place. Very nice investment and to stay in the Palace or mansion houses together my family, friends and relatives. I need your help to connect my prayer request to give me a brand new Palace, mansions houses, townhouses, Hotel, white sand beach resorts, Brand new cars,trains, bus, van, truck, etc. driver, money, private airplane, pilot, airport, cruise ship, jets, helicopter, Captain coz I want to experience also a good life together my family, friends and relatives. I want clean title po and put in my name my prayer request and give it to me directly the key. In God all things are possible po. From Lani D. Just think about all of the poor immigrants at this time. Very low wages and no benefits etc. Then there were the filthy rich with more $ than they knew what to do with.
