I think the indication that you have the alarm system is if you have then flashing red light under your rear view mirror. 🚨I have seen on the forums somewhere people adding the alarm system diy but it looks like a ton of work..

I set it up on mine on the loudest setting, long beep and low frequency and love it now the alarm sound is something that would really like the actual OEM horn to sound instead of that little beep ugh great vid man!

I have the same small head unit cluster as you do inside your car. Wondering if you can use this icarly to enable split screen? That would be a great addition through this app. Tried to look for it but maybe it's in expert mode.

Awesome video!! Just what I was looking for. Was stuck after doing the first step, in the headunit module, and the beep wasnt coming on. Saw this video and done the second step, sunroof bit. Is there any way to sound a short horn like in Mercedes cars.

Hey great video. I have installed an alarm on my 2008 382i BMW. Motion sensor. Everything works fine alarm goes off but I can’t get the unlock and the locking acoustic sound. What am I doing wrong stuck at a crossroads.

My 2013 F30 didn’t come with an alarm either. Do you have any plans to add an alarm? I’ve been trying to find the part number to retrofit an OEM alarm.

If your car is in neutral reverse or drive and you try to lock it..it will beep. If you can find that feature and edit it...then I'm 1000% sure you can make it beep without an alarm

Lol I came here to learn how to turn it off, I turned mine off prior to coding, after I started coding things the beeping came back and wont turn off even when I turn it off without coding

Also I had the option of acoustic lock/unlock on my idrive before I started using bimmercode, now its not there.... I want it back off because I get back home late im not trying to announce im home with a beep when I lock my door
