Exactly. It's like animal lovers telling people to stop wearing leather shoes, without suggesting alternatives. That's what the government is doing. It's all well to ban plastic and "educate" people about it's ill-effects... but what are the alternatives? Plastic is a very cheap and abundant material compared to other materials. Sometime back i got some food stuff packed in paper but on the way it rained very heavily and the paper packaging became wet and soggy... wasting the contents inside. PEOPLE ARE THE PROBLEM NOT PLASTIC. It's how we're using and disposing plastic that's the problem. Companies should provide re-usable packing, instead of the " use and throw" models.
