I wanna make sure I know enough about this before doing all this, may be a silly question but I just have to make sure: if you lock your funds away by staking or any of the other methods, the amount of crypto you have will stay the same except for the interest that is going to be added, but the value of the crypto would still depend on how the market is doing, am I right?

When your term is up. The APR is over a year. It will be divided and you will get the amount for the period you chose.

Hi! Thanks for the video tutorial. I just staked DAI in Binance locked 7 days but after I clicked "confirm purchase", I could not find it in my wallet nor see the transaction in the transaction history. Is this normal? Do I just see about my DAI after the 7 days?

Ok so the Annual Percentage Yield APY represents a return that I would get if I would keep it staked for a year even though I stake in only for lets say 30 days? So if APY for a coin is lets say 6% and I stake it for 30days that would mean that the actual return is 0.5% a month? As I understand it, its not 6% a month right?

That is correct. :) You can calculate how much you get out of it by using an APY calculator, and chose the time period you will keep the money invested.

It is normal. It’s because your money is now in earn. Once you exit the flexible savings account your money is returned to spot and then you will have a profit and loss again

When you lock in you lose access to your coins. Cannot be withdrawn or changed in any way. If someone hacks your account they cannot do anything with locked coins

its a little bit misleading, The percentage u see on APY is on yearly. for example the ICX has 21.79% APY for 15 days staking. To get the daily interest, u need to convert the APY to daily percentage yield. so, 21.79%/365= 0.059%. U will get a 0.059% increase on your staked daily.

Just to clarify, when you say "a 7 day gives you 7% return" is not that the end of the 7th day you get that...that 7% is per annum...or I'm wrong?

Its like ur investing on them. The risk is that when the crypto coin u staked or locked in looses its value so is your crypto coin u staked or flexible savings. also, the percentage u see is on yearly. u need to convert that on daily. For example 5% APY /365, u get 0.0136% interest daily.
