In this video, the multiplication of Signed Binary Numbers (2s complement Binary Multiplication) is explained with examples.
Steps for 2s Complement Binary Multiplication of two n-bit numbers:
1. Starting from the LSB of the multiplier (second number), multiply each digit to the multiplicand (first number in the multiplication).
2. After each multiplication, extend the sign bit of the each partial product upto 2n bits.
3. For last partial product, (The partial product which you get after multiplying the MSB of the multiplier with the multiplicand), take the 2s complement of the number.
4. Add all the partial products.
5. In the result, starting from the LSB, consider only first 2n bits and ignore higher bits.
6. The result will be multiplication of two signed binary numbers in 2s complement representation.

1 (1011101) not -35 a u said at time 7:12. Here -35 represented as 221 if u added weights

The weight of the first digit is negative, (-2^7) while the remaining digit is positive. If you do that addition of all the weights you will get -35. Recalculate it, you will get it.

What if the 4 bit multiply 3 bit so we need to extend to 8 bit or 6 bit. Hope you response ❤

When you multiply 4 bit with 3 bit then you need to extend upto 7 bits. (4 + 3 ) bits. Here in the first example, the three digit number was considered as 4 digit (by adding extra 0). And it was extended upto 8 bits. But with 7 bits extension also, you will get the same result. (when second number is 3 digit number) The same is applicable to the 3rd example.
