From the Academy Award Winning film, Inside Out, is this highly emotional scene with Joy and Bing Bong. Bing Bong was Riley's childhood imaginary friend and they'd sing a song together "what's the game you like to play - BING BONG BING BONG!" Joy and Bing Bong crash land in Riley's Memory Dump and will be gone and lost forever. Joy must reach Riley's Control Panel before she becomes completely apathetic. After a couple of attempts to jump to the edge of the Memory Dump cliff, Bing Bong realizes that the only way Joy can get out of the Memory Dump is if he abandons ship at the right moment.
Bing Bong, "Take her to the moon for me? Okay?" and then he fades away into nothing...
Joy, tearfully, "I'll try, Bing Bong... I promise."
I had doubts about seeing this film when it came out because the premise was so confusing and heady, but after reading some of the reviews, I saw it in the theaters. It's one of my favorite animated films because it is complex... I liked how it addressed the sadness and anger that a child has when the family moves and the movie says "hey - it's OK for a child to be sad about moving" and addresses the emotions. Well done, Pixar!
