@@zapdunga12 That's not the point. I watched this film, Holiday inn, for the first time in my life last week on New Year's 2024. And I also got the impression that this is a wonderful woman, a wonderful man and a wonderful couple. I live near Russia and we have a strong influence of Russian culture. We also have a film that everyone watches for the New Year. This is "The Irony of Fate" 1976. This is also a love story. And there, too, the lead actor sings in his own voice, and the lead actress sings in the voice of the Soviet and Russian singer Alla Pugacheva. And even her usual lines were re-voiced by another actress, because she was Polish and spoke Russian poorly. And everyone knows about it. But this does not change the essence. Everyone still loves these actors. And associate them with their characters. So it doesn't surprise me that Marjorie Reynolds was redubbed. Anyway it's a beautiful couple and a beautiful movie.

A lot of the old movies were based around WW2, which naturally inspired a lot of creative forces due to the high emotions that were running back then. After all, no-one knew how the world would look a few years hence, and even the US was almost within range of Nazi missiles and subs. Now we are all within range of thousands of missiles, so any new wars will probably be over before we blink!

Thank you, and Happy Christmas to you too. It should be Christmas every day, at least in Spirit anyway, and we need better winters full of snow and Christmas magic again. I so miss the old long winters up north, for when young in Yorkshire we had snow from November to April, or May. I am going to hopefully move to Austria soon, and one of main reasons is to find more snow, as it's quite remarkable what a profound effect it has upon the mood of people, as it just seems to lighten them up. I have been told by spiritual gurus that it's wondrous impact on our appreciation of its beauty is because it reminds us of Paradise, which is where we are meant to have come from originally, and where we go back to when we have completed enough lives in our earthly cycle to mature into beautiful beings. Imagine sat in an eternal Paradise, listening and singing along with Bing, surrounded by wondrous snow scenes of an exquisite beauty. I'll settle for Austria first, but cannot help and think that Paradise can't be such a bad place either. It'll have to wait a bit though, I've still got a few things to finish down here, including listening to Bing, and this beautiful song, and wishing everyone a Happy Christmas every day. So much so in fact that I know watch as many of the Hallmark Christmas movies as possible, as they feature some wonderful, wintry scenes in them, alongside some very good, wholesome scripts.
