Lived in Binga for a few months. I don't know about going in the water...as a visitor, I'd be wary of crocodiles and hippos.....a lot of uncontrolled wild life there---baboons, cobras, scorpions, and occasionally lions and other game that can surprise you. Treated a number of people at Bingo Hospital. Malaria prevention is important, especially if you're visiting in the rainy season---they have plasmodium falciparum malaria there....I know...I got it once. People in Binga are wonderful and friendly. Their Rest Camp is nice and they have a crocodile farm you can visit.

Thanks for this addition! We just saw elephants , crocodiles and zebras. Next time, I will visit the Crocodile farm too.
