The concubine tried to ruin the relationship between the king and queen. They both knew that, thus the concubine was punished. The king was happy about that punishment, because it proved the queen felt jealous and still loved him 😆

Cherry Rose they can still try and topple the empress, watch Yanxi Palace, theres like 20 something consorts and concubines and it explains it all rlly clearly. it’s also the best drama that I’ve ever watched and I’ve watched a lot of dramas

再說一次，王孫異人子楚，自始至終，護她周全，如果可以，他恨不得幫她生孩子，對於皓鑭，他是一見鍾情，二見傾心，三見定終生，愛她沒有目的，重她不因她是呂相之舞姬。皓鑭太瞭解呂相，知道自己只會是他大業之後的擺設，一開始呂相對皓鑭是合作夥伴關係，因皓鑭聰慧善斷，呂相才被她吸引，但是曾經呂相要棄皓鑭而去，耳邊不斷跑出司徒月的聲音，讓他轉念回去救她，異人太瞭解自己也太瞭解皓鑭，他愛意堅定，從不動搖，總是在她最需要時挺身而出，不顧一切保護她，劇中很多情節都告訴我們，尤其是24集，異人奮不顧身也要救下皓鑭，皓鑭沒有讓異人失望，願與他在邯鄲城一同赴死。

the concubine tried to sabotage the relationship between the king and the wife. The queen was accused of still having feelings for her old flame, the king was jealous and they fought. The king then fell sick and the concubine came to look after him. He only agreed because he saw the queen's silouette and want to make her jealous. the concubine then went out to flex that the king wants her to stay and ask her to come to the king's residence tomorrow (its as good as chasing the queen away, which is a big no-no) the queen then use this as an excuse to punish her. the king allow the queen to cane the concubine because he know that she is the troublemaker and it shows that the queen still loves him because she is jealous of the concubine... therefore the smile at the end lol

@@seyboho7850 Yep! The King wanted to make the Queen jelly like Hao Lan made the King jelly when she was with Lu Buen (sorry for name misspellings!) But you nailed it, sweetheart! The games people play. And the King knew that woman caused the trouble and he was happy Queen Hao Lan was jelly& it proved she still loved him by punishing that woman. Those women at court constantly caused trouble, scheming and plotting. They want the power and control. It's a good show. I really enjoy it. Hope there are more. I just don't think that Zen'ger 's personality is right; it doesn't make sense to me. Hao Lan is so quiet, introspective, controlled, etc and her son likes to kill- he's like bipolar. So irrational at times with fits of rage .Even his Daddy doesn't behave that! Do u think he really might be Lu Bowen's boy, like the rumor episode?
