It was already obvious to me that Regina had a high opinion of Cady from day 1 when inviting Cady to lunch everyday, thus rescuing Cady from all other (inferior) cliques.

She definitely held Cady in a higher regard over everyone else in the group. Karen was too dumb, and Gretchen was too much of a follower. Regina needed someone who she’d be able to manipulate, but they’d also be smart enough to do whatever she wanted, and be “powerful” but not threaten her.

Genius.... It proves that classics like "Mean Girls" and " The Color Purple" should not be messed with....... It was not about the words the actors said ... BUT the way the words were delivered..... The humor in Mean Girls was NOT racist due to the jokes were targeted at EVERY race and orientation....... The difference happens to be in 2004 the general population had a SENSE OF HUMOR along with COMMON SENSE... What a shame.

Janis was pissed off that Cady had promised to go to her art show that same weekend, but Cady was so caught up in throwing the party that she completely forgot about her original promise. In other words, Janis couldn't have given a rat's ass about not going to the party - it's that Cady ditched her because she had other priorities.
