Yes, the cognac was a waste, but it can be enjoyed. The special glass is about as useful for the milkshake as the gold leaf.

Small note about the bourbon used: Angel's Envy is uniquely suited for this, because it's aged in Port wine barrels to give it a noticeable sweetness compared to other bourbons.

So after looking at this, angels envy finishes their bourbon in port wine barrels, they’re not aged in port wine barrels since it needs to be aged in new charred oak barrels then is transferred to the port barrel

@eriknervik9003 my mistake; it's been a while since I've bought it. The shortages from 2020 doubled the price from $50 to $100 and I couldn't justify spending that much anymore. Either way, the port wine flavor definitely enhances it to a noticeable degree and if you can manage to have some at some point I highly recommend it.

Nowadays, some places charge 2-3x that, but they're throwing crap on it like a handful of M&Ms, a wedge of cheesecake, lit sparklers, etc....and booze. Easiest way to hit $8 is to use Haagen Dazs ice cream. It's the densest, smoothest, purest premium brand and runs about $5/pint.

Babish is probably the most calming and fun youtuber i know. His video's are so fun to watch but also it feels a big like therapy for some reason. His voice is just so relaxing and the video looks so smooth. I don't really know how to explain it but what i do know is that you can't hate his video's

I have one of those milkshake machines that's actually from the 1950s-60s from my grandparent's old restaurant. A lot bulkier, but it still works amazing, and doesn't fall apart like the one in the video and has a cool old-fashioned paint job :)
