I saw CLOY when it premiered after having become a passionate fan of K-Dramas, after beginning with Chinese dramas six months before discovering the difference. The primary reason for my switch to Korean dramas was because they were seldom longer than 24 episodes and most were sixteen, which meant that the stories were tighter. The second, equally important reason for my switch was that I had wanted to learn Mandarin, then discovered they have over 85,000 words characters. Korean only has 24 with a similar number of pronunciations, accents, and more vowel than many languages. My goal is to understand everything (especially interview, drams, and BTS' music. Because I love to participate in a couple fan groups of general K-Drama and discovered that Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin were extremely upset about the ongoing fan pressure for them to get together as a couple. Both are very private people and they felt it was harassment because fans (women, primarily) brought it up at fan meetings and other events. He hired an attorney and told his agency that he was ready to deal with the constant abuse they were getting, so his agency announced that people who did not stop creating more effort to foment action on their parts with each other. The reason they were so convincing is because they are excellent actors. I am completely unaware of this type of behavior in America and I'm a senior citizen. You can do a brief search of KZfaq and find several comment of both leads about how upsetting this has been for them. Plus, extremely embarrassing. Our fantasy is always about ourselves and the actor/actress whom we admire. I used to be a very dedicated Star Trek fan with uniforms, conventions, captain of a club, and met many of the original actors. However, I never had a wish to marry Captain Kirk and kick Carol Markus to the side. So, I have been completely mystified why Asian cultures from India to China have so many fans wanting that a drama series would bring more people together than it actually does. Even with the few who have found each other and married, there have been some spectacular divorces, probably due to those involved still connecting as the characters they portrayed, rather than as who they were in real life.

@@sherrillsmith8380 Hi! I think the attorney was for the people who maliciously include Hyun Bin in the chat group scandal involving his married close friends but was erroneously reported that it has something to do with the rumors involving SYJ.

@@moirabelle6272 Thank you for this information, Moira. It explains reasons for Hyun Bin and SYJ to take action. However, I have seen this same reaction about quite a number of posts involving other agencies of actors in Korea, so it does not appear to be an isolated situation. Every culture is different, and we Americans have issues that can be strange and/or even bizarre to each other or newcomers. I remember quite well how truly toxic the IMDb message board became prior to Amazon shutting it down in early 2017. I had left three years before that decision because it was so inhospitable for most people who were simply interested in fact finding and basic sharing of ideas. 😏😮😐🤨

Me too, my first time to watch kdrama and was really hooked to Cloy. My family and most of my friends suggested to watch this, even my husband does not watch kdrama but submitted to watch this Cloy movie because they watch this with their husband which they never do.. Most who watch repeatedly watch many times., Not twice or thrice but 7 times, some 10 times. Wow amazing, this movie is really something.

I've watched 'Crash Landing' so many times that I can repeat her dialog with my eyes closed while the scenes progress from episode to episode. So much of Bin's is facial expression before they become a couple and he is injured, then in the hospital. At that point, he becomes "Talkie Captain RI". It is one of the best dramas ever!! 😉😊😀😂
